War is not genocide. War is hell, but it’s all on Hamas. Israel didn’t ask for this war. It’s OK to empathize with civilians on both sides; but, people better have the moral clarity to support Israel’s self defense. Real peace includes re-established deterrence.

We are safe. Chattanooga tornado missed by about 3 miles. Sheltered in bathroom. No damage to our house, but some eastern sections of greater Chattanooga took a hard hit. Sent by cell; no power WiFi. Dixie night stuff is a whip. Everyone be safe.

True. US House passed $300 million for Ukraine as a stand alone bill, this one with Democrats. The Defense bill failed on internal Republican debate. The separate House bill can easily pass the Senate. One way or another the US will keep helping Ukraine.

Hong Kong 2022 is exactly why it will never happen. Taiwan would need something like 1997 HK Basic Law locked in with even stronger guarantees, including a Constitutional provision forbidding Beijing interference with Law or Econ. Even then, it is not likely.

I would add that students should be careful of their associations. Job offers have been rightfully rescinded from hamas-IS-nazi sympathizers (WSJ). You either support making Israel, the USA and the World safe for Jews, or you don't.
Jewish donors need to declare war on those universities in which departments and academics are siding with Hamas terrorists.
They need to pull their funding immediately.
