Very sad story coming out of Bakhmut.
Georgian unit of the 57th Brigade was surrounded and took heavy casualties.
The soldiers fought for 10 hours being bombarded from every side.
My thoughts are with those who did not make it out.
The battles for Hostomel airport on the first days of the war were defining.
I want to remind you that a small national guard unit along with Ukrainian SOF battled for more than 4 hours with only small arms against a whole Russian airborne detachment and 30+ aircraft.
“The commander of the "Wagner group" Oleksii Nahin, nicknamed "Terek", was eliminated in Ukraine.
He was killed in action in a battle near Bakhmut reportedly.”
Just to be clear the defeat of the Russian army along the Kherson frontline today is not because of a voluntary withdraw or an agreement.
The reason why they are retreating is because of destruction of their logistical hubs and taking unsustainable losses.
Unfortunately recently I have lost a friend on the frontlines around Bakhmut.
He would send me news when he could and was always optimistic.
The price of victory is always high.
Im sure one day I will share his name with you all.
Bakhmut Holds!
The defence of the city is nearly coming to an end.
I will put this post to acknowledge the brave actions of the defenders who are currently operating around and within the last positions in the city.
Ukrainian defenders continue to bravely defend the surroundings of Bakhmut.
Unfortunately this comes at a great
cost of life in certain areas.
Please pass a thought to the brave men and women in battle right now.
I don’t understand the pushback on funding for Ukraine.
You have spent trillions on preparing for a conventional war with Russia.
And for a hundred billion Ukraine has destroyed their conventional army for you.
That seems like a good return on investment to me…
US officials have now noted that the missiles that hit Poland were indeed Russian and 2 people have been killed.
The question is does Russia killing two people on nato territory evoke any sort of response.
“Defend every inch of nato territory”
