An incredibly tough but fascinating interview with Ukrainian military medic Yuriy Armash. Yuriy was captured by Russians in the early days of the war and recently released in a prisoners' swap. In captivity, he helped hundreds of tortured Ukrainians to survive. A must read 1/

The Economist interviews Zelensky and depicts him as a more serious, even angry, a departure from his earlier lightness and humor But the main insight of the interview is Zelensky's strategy to win the war through isolation of Crimea 1/

After today’s attack on Ukraine, Russia comes out with a new propaganda narrative: “Kyiv is getting a taste of its own medicine (of bombing kids in Donbas)”. No, Kyiv never bombed Donbas, let alone civilians and kids. Let debunk this myth once again 1/

At 3am tonight I woke up because of explosions outside my window. There were many and loud. The siren went off after the explosions and seemed unusually long. That scared me. My wife got up and looked at the window. I was afraid for her. It was too late to go to shelter 1/

The U.S. moves forward with the proposal to G7 to confiscate Russian assets and give them to Ukraine. Russia is furious and threatens to retaliate. But it can’t do much. Why has it taken so long? First, because there is a powerful business lobby against confiscation 1/

The Russian mutiny created a win-win situation for Ukraine. If Putin kills Prigozhin and /or cracks down on his supporters, the Russian military will be weakened. If not, that means that Putin backed down. No off ramp, no escalation. He simply folded under pressure. 1/

Never lose the clarity of thought. Russia invaded the independent country Ukraine. Ukraine is fighting for its survival. Russia is a bully and a war criminal. Ukraine is the future, Russia is the past. Stand on the right side of history. Everything else is propaganda and denial.

Storks are back in Ukraine. We caught them feasting next to a tractor somewhere around Uman on our way from Kherson. In Ukraine, storks are a symbol of rebirth, reinvention, and family protection. Very much what we need in Ukraine now.
