Now we know. As predicted 3 weeks ago: The Westminster 🇨🇳 spy case was dropped because conviction required the UK to evidence that China met the “enemy” threshold for the purposes of the Official Secrets Act. Anyone involved in this travesty should be looking for a new job.
Important to watch today's P'ment statement closely. Defendants could not be charged under the National Security Act, as it was not in force. They had to be charged under the Official Secrets Act which requires the accused to have assisted the "enemy". https://t.co/Lm79CDvsYu

We have to take this issue seriously. This deepfake video marks the beginning of the misuse of AI technology against Hong Kong dissidents as well as an experimental AI disinformation campaign that would errode community trust, freedom of expression and democracy.
🚨Concerning: CCP agents are spreading AI deepfake videos targeting me and others. The first surfaced on March 7—crude and unconvincing. The latest is more refined and sophisticated. This is state-backed disinformation meant to defame, confuse, and intimidate. Stay vigilant.
