That’s it… finally letting go my exact match domains… so many years of expensive renewals for nothing… can’t justify the overhead anymore. It’s just too easy for Google to ignore them/rationalize blocking them, and CLEARLY with AI Google no longer has to trust them at all.

“negative ranking factor” not in a “negative seo” way, but in “negative whitespace” way. Pseudocode: WHILE(domain_status_factors_matter) { IF(natural_quality_backlinks>$SERPSPECIFICVALUE) THEN (scraper_sitelinks_pain=$LOW) ELSE (scraper_sitelinks_pain=$HIGH) }

When Google killed my content sites, I still had to feed the wee ones. So I went back to house painting. The work is dirty, doesn’t pay well, and is awful for my troublesome neck & back, but at least there’s steady revenue flow as long as I put in the time.

Quick story about why you should NEVER, EVER, EVER use the All In One SEO Plugin for WordPress. The chart below is from a new client's Google Search Console. Since August they've lost between 98 and 100% of all Google traffic and it's at least partially All in One SEO's fault.

in visual design, negative whitespace can guide the eye to see the design elements in more impactful ways. The ABSENCE of stuff in the in-between spaces ENHANCES the design elements. The “empty space” becomes, in the big picture, a design element.

I’ve been saying this for two years… tons of oppty (while #SEO world cries in Google pain) Every time a page drops out of search, something takes its place, someone seeks therapy( or alcohol), training, or a new job… and if SUCCESSFUL web sites drop dead, markets go unserved.

@itsyukinariyo yeah seems that way sometimes…but only because noticing the obvious is such a rare skill these days, and when you combine that with near zero “institutional memory” in #seo Land, you get everyday amazeballs

@IanLurie skip current ai prop & download open source learning systems in your language of choice...you'll learn a ton from the data requirements, and output from your data efforts. give it a few weeks and then you'll move on with new appreciation for the too-big-to-survive understanding.

@MatthewJBrown Charter, Verizon, Visa…. humans are incredibly predictable already, and we have far more data than we need. There’s a scarcity of reason, supporting discernment. And that directly impacts budgets, and patience to wait for results. Those (quietly) doing the work are killing it.

@Ammon_Johns @seo_theory @DuaneForrester and then a monthly fee to "join" so you don't get sued by increasingly un-targeted enforcement lawfare. We've seen this DRM before... it just gets uglier.

@GrindstoneSEO lol it’s the reality. Ever met the founders of either company? I did… and you’ve been around that long. Early US search conference the SR booth was manned by The Creator & Sales Guy. Chatting them up (one only spoke Russian) was insightful. At EU meetings AH booth also telling

Interesting flex, in the same way the Lincoln, Nebraska’s Holiday Inn’s lounge acts are awesome during extended major snowstorms.

Yes, Google sees search getting better and SEOs see it getting worse. That's because Google treats SEOs differently from the rest of the world. So yes, many of you don't suspect that we're just user personas that Google is serving the SERPs we deserve. Google is teaching us…

@itsyukinariyo we built instruments to measure obscure thermal/physical properties of material. When order comes in from a new player, followed by 2 more from 2 others, & then you get calls from competitors fishing for info on why yours is better than theirs (says who?)…sumthins up. #stealth

I know I’m going out on a limb here, but…. perhaps… could it be that…. SEO IS DEAD? Lol… No, fokes…Google is dead. And the clever lady who brought us SEO MAGIC like pre-CO fire alarm numbers showing up as SMB phone numbers cemented in to G forever — are coming to search!

@searchliaison @Jake_Boly @dannysullivan What's actually happening with Google? It is surreal. When I compare the search results with Bing results, Google looks like a product search engine. At least in my niche (country flags). If this continues, then Google results will no longer be helpful, I think. #SEO
