The documentary Val did about his life is one of the most beautiful and tear jerking docs I’ve ever watched. The man genuinely loves acting and seems wistful he can’t really do it in the capacity he used to, but also incredibly grateful of the career he’s had.

In addition to what Miller said I also like that recasting Furiosa, like Max got recast, plays into the theory that these movies can be looked at as post apocalyptic campfire tales being retold by memory so it makes sense people might misremember how they look exactly.

I think the point is that the production has been so long between seasons that in the show’s chronological time it’s supposed to have only been a year between last season, but in actuality it’s been three years so they are all a little noticeably older.

Every year I watch Christine and every year I love it a little bit more. I know it’s not King’s favorite adaptation of his stuff, and John Carpenter thinks it’s just whatever and not a particular high point of his directing, but I still love it anyhow.

It’s good, but i think it can be an acquired taste. It takes the first few episodes before you get to the more weirdo shit. You kinda have to meet it at its level. Because of its reputation it’s often thought of as prestige television, but it’s more of a bizarre soap opera.

Yeah I’ve been thinking a lot about how it feels much more considered and they very deliberately produced it like an episodic show. All the other MCU shows were clearly made more as 6 hour long movies that they then split up. Resulting in a lot of pacing problems in each one.
