I think Ted may be the perfect CG character. No chance of uncanny valley, anatomy that allows for human-inspired movement but doesn’t have to be 1-to-1 perfect, and a grounded texture that can be rendered realistically. I always forget I’m watching a CG character. I just see Ted.

I also love the simplicity of him. His eyes are just glued on and we get a lot of the expression from the blocky eyebrows, and the rest is body language. Very grounded in traditional animation in that way. But in other ways his movements are so normal and mundane. Great balance.
