Fun fact: years ago, there was a soul food restaurant & bar (Haynes Bar) started by a former black WWII GI and his French wife, that had the best soul food I’ve ever had. It was in the 9th arrondissement. Sadly, it’s closed now. I knew it was hitting because they had Lawry’s.
