@ethereumR1 I get the appeal of a no token L2 to ETH the asset but i dont get the appeal for apps and users?. in many cases the only reason ppl use an L2 is the expectation of being compensated via a token launch. similar argument for apps, why spend a finite amount of dev work w/o.

as much as i love R1 & surge i gotta agree with alex on this one. there’s a reason most big L2s today aren’t stage 2 yet, and it’s not because they don’t want to be (it actually makes for great marketing). the real issue is the code just isn’t battle tested enough to safely.
