Helping to drive @Commit_Boost + @Fabric_ethereum | Prev: Investing @BHDigitalAssets & Digital Assets OG @Goldmansachs

Most fun I have had in my career, stewarding this alongside a community that I believe in & care deeply about! Thank you to all the teams that helped get @Commit_Boost to this milestone. If you are not involved, reach out! Grants, testing, feedback, and countless other things!.
1/ We are excited to share that Commit-Boost is headed towards audit and production! As an open-source, public good, this could not have been possible without many teams across the Ethereum Community. Thank you for all your time and effort! See below π

A week of reminders around what makes Ethereum, Ethereum.
First based preconfs on mainnet! πΆοΈ. Block 21,180,697 landed the first ever preconfed NFT mint and L1 transfer. Slot durations will matter less and less as transactions increasingly get preconfed for fast UX. This milestone is the culmination of a collaborative sprint that

Amazing call. Personally excited to double down on coordination with Fabric. This in no way is a shift away from @Commit_Boost, rather leaning in unlocking more resources to help push Ethereum forward. Wartime mode. Research post on Fabric coming with more details.

Commit-Boost = Not-for-profit. Community driven. Open-source public good. Amazing to see all the outreach from folks who want to contribute to building an un-opinionated validator platform for proposer commitments.
1) Two months ago, I left my job to contribute to Ethereum. Today, I was excited to present further details around Commit-Boost, a validator platform for proposer commitments.

Commit-Boost isnβt just about returning autonomy back to the proposer, but equally as importantβbuilt for the whole Ethereum community, including. π .- *All* types of stakersβhome, solo, LST, LRT, NOsβyou name it this is for you.- Open to *all* to help build.- Open to *all*.
Our logo was inspired by the Citizens Band Radio, a radio for one-to-many bidirectional voice communication among individuals. Commit-Boost is not just for LSTs / NOs. Commit-Boost is built for the voice of solo stakers to be heard throughout Ethereum's block construction.

Met Fede and the first thing out of his mouth was, how can we help. Grateful for him and the team helping to support @Commit_BoostβOpen for all to help build. For all to build on. For all validators to run. All as a public good, with no token, and no venture backing.
We got some great news to share. Starting next monday we are starting our full time involvement working in @Commit_Boost with @DrewVdW. We are also going to start working with @titanbuilderxyz to create a builder using Lambda Rust Ethereum. Exciting times ahead!

8) While this is not a Titan or EigenLayer effort, I want to thank @kubimensah and @0xkydo for their early contributions, conversations, and time. The goal for Commit-Boost is community ownership, without this, the idea of Commit-Boost cannot, and perhaps should not, succeed.

Support the builder who isnβt censoring. Looking forward to Titanβs next phase where they will open the relay standard they are developing. If itβs half as good as their ability to build blocks, Ethereum will be better for it.
It seems like our intentions for the Titan Relay have been misunderstood so I wanted to reiterate that our relay will not be vertically integrated. Itβs designed to be open and accessible to all builders. π§΅π.

Still the best EILI5 on @Commit_Boost. Commit-Boost: A new sidecar that validators run. Commit-Boost is not a protocol, rather, it allows validators to run one sidecar but access multiple protocols including preconfs, inclusion lists, and the PBS pipeline (to name a few).

Return autonomy to all proposers. Be a unified standard all can build on. Help grow a community that all can be part of. No token. No monetization. No venture funding. This isnβt the easy way to build @Commit_Boost, however, from my perspective, the only healthy way to try it.
"Can you create more decentralized block building marketplaces. we're starting to see this work happening around @Commit_Boost. if this is done in the right way then that also becomes an extra protocol way in which you can separate out the authorities within staking." π.~.

This aged well.
"The churn limit puts a hard cap both on how much ETH can be staked & on how many withdrawals can be initiated per day. Assuming the current churn limit stays locked at eight, only ~0.04% of the ETH in circulation can be staked per day." βΒ @MaraSchmiedt.

1/ On the back of conversations/posts across the @LidoFinance forum, was encouraged to write considerations for a based commitment policy (if a policy is required at all). Appreciate consideration on this as any policy can broadly impact Ethereum. π .
@mteamisloading The gist is that Lido NOs can offer preconfs in line with a soon-to-be-released policy that balances experimentation with protecting stakers and Ethereum, making Lido an early mover in that field. It was covered in the ReGOOSE update

This not about value accrual. This is about what Ethereum can do for rollups, not what rollups can do for Ethereum.
I'm extremely bullish on ETH when based rollups are adopted in early 2026. CT wants you to believe that nobody uses Ethereum, but that's not true. The activity has moved to the L2s, Base is leading the way and there are more L2 users than ever before. Until based rollups are.

Another good read by @_julianma and others. My favorite quote: "Validators as passive block producers would simply fill up their blocks from the mempool, ensuring allocation of blockspace to users who indeed satisfy the requirements of chain neutrality. Yet, with todayβs systems,.
New post on Uncrowdable Inclusion Lists! @barnabemonnot @soispoke and I investigate what properties of inclusion lists ensure that they will be used for chain neutrality and what makes them so appealing for other use cases such as preconfirmations and PEPC. Link below!

We are still in the first few innings. Walled gardens will not win. It is simple--going based is a positive sum effort with no walls. You truly benefit your neighboring based rollup and they truly provide a benefit to you.
seeing a lot of posts saying βL2s are the reason for ETHβs underperformanceβ.while thereβs some truth to that, itβs way more nuanced than just L2 = bad. the real issue was moving away from the L1 as a shared state machine and spinning up a bunch of general purpose L2 walled.

"But we can make a philosophical shift in how we think about inclusion lists: think of the inclusion list as being the block, and think of the builder's role as being an off-to-the-side function of adding a few transactions to collect MEV.".
