@Rus_Emb_Ireland For hundreds of years Ireland was oppressed by our nearest neighbours. We have huge empathy for those invaded by neighbours. That's where we are coming from. We have no interest in aggression but take personal interest in those oppressed or invaded by bigger neighbours......

@autcareandshare And why are you not recognised as a public asset & resource and given some renumeration from public purse? In a more perfect world it is likely, I suggest. But officialdom rarely thinks outside the box or engages in any form of lateral thinking . It's downside of administration.

@ElecCommIRL how can the Referendum go ahead if Supreme Court is hearing a case that depends on the very article to be voted on? If the article changes, what is the status of the carer who depends on it? Surely Referendum must be deferred until the Supreme Court has ruled?

I suspect autonomy of parents to chose whether one of them works in the home will be replaced by having to qualify as a carer and protection REMOVED along with PENSION otherwise. Women (largely) will be less secure and those on disability will be means tested on family income

I'm not going to be the calmer for listening to #liveline today. To the mother complaining that her child is now being forced to wear a mask to school - 'Where's his right to an education, Joe?' - I say, Madam, WE ARE IN A GLOBAL PANDEMIC. #COVID19Ireland #WearAMask

Some realities don't merit Constitutional protection imv @ThomasByrneTD tells us you can be married and be in 'durable relationship' with third party simultaneously...which is sort of State approved polygamous relationship imv. Meanwhile those who produce next generation deleted.

@cbolgerr Bottom line is Taoiseach @MichealMartinTD and @DarraghOBrienTD turning ship in a #pandemic and those who didn't enter #coalition have an easy job of shouting from the sidelines stuff that's obvious.

If it's honest and straightforward or good there is no reason why Government, even if led from lofty heights by @LeoVaradkar , can't just come out and say it like it is, surely?

@RoryHearne @Keyes @TodaywithClaire It seems to me that this @IRLDeptFinance led approach to housing started with Michael Noonan and has been consistently promoted by FG. It is possibly a false economy promoted by @IRLDeptFinance who operate to save Exchequer spending. The outcome is inflated prices and misery.

Interesting points raised for those who want more than pictures of kitchen sinks to contemplate or archbishop in long dress. This is about removing wording from Constitution while there is a Supreme Court ruling pending on whether economic necessity phrase obliges state to act.

The irony of women in NGOs and Oireachtas telling mothers, who choose differently from them to work at home, they are held back...and at the same time telling us the Rs are about difference & inclusion..is not entirely lost.

Its alleged that the Taoiseach used a quote from #meangirls in a speech about #COVID19 as a bet. It's not the source of the quote but that a speech about a disease that killed so many was composed by the leader of a country for a €50 bet. #primetime
