On this evening, let us remember the many fine and idealistic rank-and-file members of religious orders, some cousins of mine. One, a missionary nun in her 80s, is still working with the poor in Ecuador. She was never afraid to challenge authority. There are many like her.

A friend of mine is a landlord with one property. Self-employed, it is his pension and security for the advancing years. Some of his tenants are mature single people who are unable to buy their own place. They have been his tenants for years. He is not the problem. #housing

I find the negative comment about David Clifford offensive. A brilliant young footballer, who has had to deal with personal tragedy, he is a role model. No Kerry footballer, since the Mick O’Connell of my youth, has made such an impact.
