On parity of esteem and government's new target for higher level learning, @tobyperkinsmp tells Katarina Kolyva he wants to see parents just as proud to see their child on a vocational course as in university. #GreenMindset

You don't need SNAP. You don't need EBT. You don't even need a job. You need patriarchy. A husband is patriarchy. Christ is patriarchy. As for men: "If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat." —2 Thessalonians 3:10 No one is coming to save you but the

On a question on funding for green courses, @tobyperkinsmp recognises that funding is limited and priority should be quality assurance to ensure value for money - clock is ticking and Skills England still young so providers will need to campaign hard. #GreenMindset

Really enjoyed talking to @LooseWomen about why we're including menopause in free NHS health checks. This change will help millions more women get the care they need. The NHS should serve all of us, not just some of us. https://t.co/aa9LBYAJFF

Wonderful to have members of the @ChesterfieldClp in Westminster yesterday. It was a full day with a tour of the Palace, time in the House of Commons chamber, and a Q&A in the afternoon. Thanks for your support over the years.

It was concerning to hear from @TheBHF that progress to prevent more early deaths from cardiovascular disease has stalled. I welcome the Govt’s commitment to a Modern Service Framework for CVD, to prevent people from developing heart problems in the first place. #HeartsNeedMore

Dementia will impact one in two of us - by receiving a diagnosis, caring for someone, or both. No one should have to face this condition alone. I was delighted to hear that @DementiaUK hosts a free confidential helpline. Call 0800 888 6678 for support with any aspect of dementia

Pavement parking is an issue I have been highlighting for many years. It can force people into the road, throwing up another barrier for people with sight loss from from walking safely and accessing opportunities every day. https://t.co/OuFpqIjC5X

I got to see a few images of the @NHM_London's annual Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, which tells the story of a planet under pressure. I'll be championing ambitious action at the international climate conference COP30 in Brazil in November.

A leaky defense isn’t the only problem for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Acrisure Stadium’s grass field has grown patchy in recent weeks, leading to slips and potential injuries. If an NFL team has trouble keeping grass safe and accessible, imagine a local high school that has a

But they definitely do the due diligence needed to be a serious party of government, right? I mean liability to pay VAT is not some obscure and occasional thing to be caught out by.
Amazing story in The Times. Reform UK failed to pay VAT to HMRC on its sales (tickets, merchandise). About £400k in all. Not tax avoidance. Not tax evasion. They just didn't realise when you sell stuff you have to charge VAT.

I'm pleased Gov has announced 5 new Technical Excellence Colleges to support young people into good jobs. The Construction Skills Hub in Staveley has got 68 people this year into apprenticeships. I asked the SoS what more she will do to support young people into construction.

Great to attend the Tennis black list roundtable in parliament and hear some of the best practice examples of how local areas have supported black children to take up Tennis. Great to see Yasmin Clarke again too and hear about what she is doing to in Derbyshire too.

We don’t just talk about impact, we prove it. Just one week after receiving Catalyst funding, PALM Economy already has boots on the ground in Nigeria, onboarding real producers and getting ready to capture traceable data, immediate value for Cardano, $ADA holders, and $PALM.

I recently met with @BBBofCuk who raised concern about so called 'white collar boxing' allowing mismatches and serious injuries, being too slow to intervene. Glad that it seems Paddy Kenny is ok but does appear this fight carried on after it should have been stopped.
Ex footballer’s Paddy Kenny & Curtis Davies had a boxing match last night… Paddy Kenny got absolutely battered😬😂

I spoke in the House yesterday in support of important new legislation protecting international marine life. This Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction Bill, once passed, will allow the UK to ratify the Global Oceans Treaty, safeguarding our oceans for the future.

I visited @ChesterfieldAC as part of T-Levels Week. It was great to speak to students and staff to hear their experiences of T-Levels and learn what they thought could be done to improve their experience.
