The current covid variant can cause more gastrointestinal symptoms than respiratory, at least early in the illness. It can also take seven days after symptoms appear to have a positive covid test. If you or your child is sick, stay home, and do a covid test every day or two.

@DaliaHasanMD I've advocated for this for about two years. Every three months, a package with tests, N95s, and updated virus/vaccine info should be in every mailbox, library, and homeless shelter.

This is one reason why covid is dangerous. Each circle represents at least one viral mutation. Your "healthy immune system, broccoli-eating, exercising, vegan" lifestyle can't overcome this. Covid destroys immune systems and organs. Do everything possible to avoid this virus.

Since March of 2020, I have NEVER seen as many friends and loved ones sick with covid as I'm seeing right now. 🙄

@DGlaucomflecken This video is so discouraging. I can't go into a hospital to have my needed orthopedic surgery. I'm the caretaker for three people at home, and I can't risk it. Why not be a trend setter and wear N95 masks? 😭

SARS-COV-2 is a BSL-3 virus, but schools and daycares provide NO protections. I wrote this to parents today. PLEASE feel free to read and share. (And if you can repost it as an unrolled thread here, I'd love the assistance. Thanks!)

So, you think that Covid is just a cold, and "Long COVID will never happen to me." I get it. You're a TAB. Temporarily Able Bodied. That's the term in the Disability Community for non-disabled folks. You're welcome to join us. Just get "mild COVID." See you soon.

@Tbolt65 Absolutely. We're accused of "hiding out in fear," yet others won't take reasonable precautions that would allow us to mingle in public.
