Conversation with a friend yesterday.
Me: "This latest variant appears with eye inflammation that looks like pinkeye."
Friend: "What? Three people in our family have pinkeye right now!"

That's what I'm wondering. I know that tears contain virus, but I'm wondering about how much more accurate the tests might be for "eye gunk"-- i.e. mucus/tears.

70 years ago we used a clean (alcohol, or soap and water...) copper penny, rubbed it on the pink eye area several times a day, as soon as one started. The traces of copper ions that rubbed off killed the virus, or bacteria causing it. Still works today. My Mother taught me that.

My daughter had 2 red eyes when she was sick last month. High fever, congestion, sore throat as well. We used rapids but she kept testing negative. I hsd sore throat, exhaustion. Also negative on rapids.

Are people not listening to people like Dr Norman Swan? Professor Raina MacIntyre? Checking the health websites and bulletins? There should be a Twitter tv channel or they could just Google?

I had it in March and husband caught it from me. Neither of us tested positive for Covid on the admittedly now old LFTs we have left over. I couldn't drive to get more as couldn't see properly and husband couldn't drive as he had a broken wrist. I'm convinced it was Arcturus.
