My BP was measured "high" twice in the last month. I chalked it up to pain and "white coat syndrome," and told myself that I was too busy as a caregiver for three people to pay attention.
It could have killed me.
When you get the warnings, STOP, PAY ATTENTION, and GET TREATED.
I'm writing this because DENIAL kills too many people.
I went to the ER with an insanely high BP this week-- praying that I wouldn't have a stroke on the way there. I spent two days in the hospital, monitored, and fortunately returned home on meds and upcoming follow-ups.

Co-signed. I have been trying to get answers for 3 years. A lot of people would have given up entirely, or been forced to due to work commitments. I’m so glad I didn’t, & I’m so glad you listened to your body! I hope you are improving.

So true. We often have to be advocates not only for patients but for ourselves! Our loved ones and patients will be glad we did! Stay strong!! Never give up!!👊🏾

Nope.
That's why I've stockpiled for 50 years. I started during the First Punic Pain War & this Third War is far worse. I'd rather get help from a senior, my cat's vet, or a friend who's an RN. I have several types of BP meds and diuretics in stock. I'll be fine.

Had a very fit, active friend who died suddenly at age 40 due to untreated high blood pressure. When they screened his younger brother, they saved his life with 1 pill per day.
