@anothercohen
The casual anti-semitism on this thread is deeply disturbing. I see a lot of, “he just pointed something out!”. Ok, now imagine “Jewish” is replaced by any other religion or ethnicity, we’re all ok saying, “hmm they’re all X. Must mean X is Y *insert antisemitic stereotype*”? 😒
@DrChrisNorthrup
Hi former clinician who now understands marketing more than medicine! Real ER MD/MPH here 🙋♂️did you know that a)vaccines routinely prevent 99.9% of diseases you seem to be worried about? & b)I’ve seen exponentially more fishbones in throats than I have vaccine-caused illness?
@DGlaucomflecken
As a Bill ER MD I find myself lightly offended by the representation of my applesauce-eating counterpart....sometimes in the ER we just need to eat our treats in peace.
@realDonaldTrump
Yeah good point, I mean it’s not like in 2016 we spent $20 billion on tourism to America (
#1
in the world), $340 billion in trade (
#1
in the world) with an $8.4 billion surplus (on the US side), and have fought with the US in every major war we’ve ever seen (other than Iraq). 🤔
Lack of access to primary care in Ontario looks like an elderly patient coming to ER on a Saturday night w a BP >200 & crushing chest pain bc his family doc retired and he stopped his meds. We have modern solutions to connect patients to MDs virtually, why aren’t we funding them!
@MSF
“Following the escalation”…I think you mean, “following the invasion of Israel”.
While the damage to hospitals and healthcare workers is unacceptable, I don’t see why you would sugarcoat and hide the truth of what is happening.
Maintain credibility by reporting completely.
Moving fast is a way of life in Emergency Medicine, but you really feel it in the middle of the night w a sick trauma patient. Grateful for the amazing team

who came together in the wee-hours of Canada Day to spin the gears and save a life!
Tonight 1/3 of my patients in the ER either didn’t have a family doctor or couldn’t get to see their family doctor. In the past Id give them resources how to find one, now we just try to find the best temporizing solution that we can. The system needs real change.
@richardhorton1
Thank you! I have been saying this to anyone who’ll listen for a month now. How could we possibly believe that the USG would have less information than the WHO about SARS-CoV-2?
@AOC
You have many positive progressive views on the world but unfortunately seem to have a blind-spot that betrays your hatred of the Jewish people and Israel. This situation is far more complex than you’re making it out to be and millions of innocent people are caught in the middle.

There’s something unbelievably satisfying about watching a group of professionals who had never seen an ultrasound, within 6 hours collecting amazing images; & having a great time while they do it! Not to mention the happy mom seeing her baby for the 1st time. This is the future.
I’m proud to be able to work in the ER on Christmas to help my colleagues celebrate w their friends & family. We take turns supporting one another, & each do our part to help when we can, & in turn w our allied health colleagues keep the lights on 24/7/365. Merry Christmas! 🎄

You continue to not acknowledge the reality that 2M people have no Family MDs, and this fee cut took away the first ray of hope they had in decades. This needs to be fixed. I had to console a tearful pt with chronic illness today with no options anymore.
@ONThealth
@NightShiftMD
@alandrummond2
I agree that in an ideal world everyone would have a single MD available in-person and virtually, but millions of people can’t get a family doctor and Ontario is enormous geographically. Why take away virtual-only care that is a life-line when there is no other viable solution?
Default seems to be to blame others for issues in healthcare. “Bad” referral to the surgeon? Blame the ER MD. Bad referral to the ED? Blame the WIC. Patient using WIC? Blame the family doctor. It’s time to stop blaming people for problems in the healthcare system & work together.
The Emergency Department at
@MSHospital
is one of the safest places you can be during this pandemic. If you need us, please don’t delay in seeking medical attention. We’re open, 24/7.
We have done a huge amount of work to ensure patients will have access to safe emergency care. You will get a mask - we have limited visitors to enable distancing - we will keep at risk COVID patients separate from those with other complaints
@DrChrisNorthrup
Here’s a list of things I’ve seen more commonly than vaccine-induced disease 1) vaccine-prevented disease, ex. kids with a cold instead of pneumonia prevented by vaccination 2) a geriatric patient who inhaled their dentures (I’ve seen at least 1 of these). Thanks for asking!

use a single retrospective non peer-reviewed un-published study with design issues to justify slashing fee codes to Family and ER MDs; thereby reduce care to millions. What is happening in this Province?
My grandmother was a wonderfully smart, adventurous, philanthropic and caring person. After 93 years of life she left us suddenly this morning. I’ll miss her a lot. I hope I can accomplish half of what she has over the rest of my life.
100%. Imagine the difference of providing an informed & evidence-based instruction to a patient, “you are COVID positive, you must self quarantine for 14 days” + do contact tracing. Versus, “You may be COVID positive, please quarantine for 14 days...maybe your contacts also 🤔”!

Hey
@RepStickland
, I had a terrified mother bring her 13 month old boy to the ER last week because he had a new rash and was worried sick it was measles. Why don’t you go tell her that the vaccines protecting the child from death and disease are “sorcery”? Disease is not a game.
Over the last few months I’ve been working on a new telehealth company. Last week, I saw the CoV-2 pandemic change our world, and redirected the entire company to do our part to help. We are now live at answering any and all questions around the pandemic.
Mid-Feb I flew through Rwanda, Kenya & the UK to 🇨🇦. In Kigali & Nairobi: public health at airport w screening questionnaire & temperature check. Heathrow: NOTHING. Pearson: NOTHING. COVID in 🇰🇪 and 🇷🇼: 0. 🇨🇦: 117. We could stand to learn from sub-Saharan East Africa right now.

IMO it’s because big tech thinks there’s a single solution to solve all problems, and maybe there is for healthcare, but “healthcare” is unbelievably complicated and there’s not any one guiding principle that can address and solve all the factors / complexity.

So let’s get this straight. You lump 1,000,000+ Jews in NYC as “The Jewish Community” after a few events of a few 100 people of an ultra-religious sect act against guidelines. Then, you’re somehow surprised when antisemitism (aka lumping people together) follows? 🤔🤦♂️
