Hearty +1 to this passionate defence of #McGill University. The whole world is trying to build what the Legault government is trying to tear down. Montreal, Quebec, and Canada will be poorer if he's successful. @mcgillu .

Firing up this account briefly to support my alma mater and our President. Immensely proud to see @mcgillu dig in its heels to fight back against this bullying government.
We are undertaking this legal action because we believe that these measures are illegal and if upheld, will threaten McGill’s mission, its place as one of the world’s top universities and its vital role in Quebec.

Back for one tweet to amplify this. Independent journalism at @thenarwhalca saved the #Greenbelt. Subscribe. Imagine the guts it took to conserve it back when every GTA developer had designs on it. Thank the visionary leadership of Dalton McGuinty. Politics matter.
After 11 months of dogged reporting from The Narwhal and beyond, Doug Ford has succumbed to public pressure and walked back his controversial Greenbelt plans. It highlights the role of independent journalism, @balkissoon writes in this week’s newsletter.
