With comments at The Athletic (understandably) disabled, I'll answer here. I have little interest in any soccer, but love basketball and note the WNBA draws similar reaction. Women in team sports, especially if LGBT or of color, aren't deemed "feminine" like gymnasts or skaters.

If the "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" writers had actually read many of the "She-Hulk" comic books from the 1990s, her character would've been more well-rounded and lauded rather than lambasted. The TV version of Jennifer Walters wasn't very interesting and lacked vulnerability.

Clemson helped form the ACC 70 years ago (with now-departed Maryland) after both were suspended by the Southern Conference in 1952 for violating its no-bowl policy the year before. FSU's been in the ACC for less than half that time.
