@LauraMiers Fortunately the advice being given now is far clearer than in 2021. The pandemic that ended, is actually still going, though we call it post pandemic and the reason this is happening but not as bad as you feel, is because you have herd immunity.
This part is really fascinating. In one breath, an infectious disease doctor says weāre still in a pandemic and pushes herd immunity. Itās like the WHO and GBD had a child. Chefās kiss. āØš¤š¼

@acrossthemersey Iām hearing the same reports in my circles. There is SO MUCH death quietly occurring too. People are NOT ārecoveringā or otherwise bouncing back. As predicted, people are hitting a wall after multiple Covid infections, immune systems trashed, bodies dying, but no one cares.

People are posting across social media that their current infections are the most severe yet and the worst theyāve ever felt. Experts tell them itās all in their heads and good for building hybrid immunity, promise their next infection will feel better.

āVax and relaxā was a con. Short term-ism to get the economy going. But itās allowed the virus to keep circulating at high levels and keep mutating. Itās why millions, just in the U.K., have long COVID. Itās why thereās now escalating sickness and disability from the virus.

Itās not as if the Public Health authorities donāt know COVID is airborne. This ā¬ļø from 2021. But instead they now think getting infected on a regular basis is a cheaper solution. But itās not working despite what the BBC and others are telling you.

Everyone is sick because weāre in a big COVID surge. Everyone is sick because our Public Health authorities arenāt giving the public the advice they need to avoid infection. Everyone is sick because we still donāt clean the air in all schools and hospitals.

This is my qualitative gist-level interpretation of wastewater SARS-CoV-2 levels in the Europe. The key message is that transmission is high across Europe. There are no international standards for wastewater analysis, so these are very rough comparisons. I translated my
PMC COVlD Wave Update (Europe) 11 October 2025 š§µ The PMC website includes an international directory of websites with COVlD wastewater monitoring. It is more up to date than the directories of the EU and WHO. Let's review what's happening in Europe... 1/

The RIFs that began Friday will reportedly cut 65% of CISAās 2,540 employees, one of the dumbest and most dangerous moves imaginable. CISA defends the nationās cyber and critical infrastructure. Destroying it now only makes sense if youāre afraid of election integrity.

I checked into this because I hadnāt heard about it. This is what I found. ICE spent $825,000 on vans fitted with CSS for location tracking in immigration enforcement, this year. THEY MUST HAVE A COURT ORDER TO USE THESE. https://t.co/5kDH3ozn1a Federal agencies have deployed

My parents were Bush Republicans partially because Bush signed the Americans with Disabilites Act and the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. A whole generation of people with disabilities went to college, got jobs and lived independently because of these programs.
The Department of Education fired nearly everyone in the office that focuses on the nationās children with disabilities in a wave of new layoffs, union says
