@JimMFelton She also told a lie at the end as well. The IMF is not forecasting that we will be ahead of all the others, it is forecasting that our percentage growth (which compares the UK with the UK) will be higher. But we will still be behind everyone else on that 2019 benchmark.

In #PMQs Sunak said he was reducing debt. He made this false claim last week and the IFS called him out on it. Debt is still rising. That Sunak repeated the lie in the House means that he deliberately misled the House. Yet there will be no action against him.

Brexiteers trying to blame Port Talbot on net zero, rather than brexit, are forgetting something. Net Zero is a target for 2050, not now. The idea is to transition to arc furnaces to de-carbonise, not to chop blast furnace jobs and wait until the AF is ready before re-hiring. 1/2
