In 2019 - I produced a plan for

💙
👉BUILD A HIGH SKILL, HIGH WAGE ECONOMY
👉INVEST IN OUR NHS
👉ACTION ON FLY-TIPPING
👉EXTRA POLICE
👉BETTER SCHOOLS
👉REGENERATE OUR CITY CENTRE
A lot done - a lot to do.

I was there and saw Lloyd Russell Moyle bizarrely go and sit close to Miriam Cates on the Conservative side of chamber after his extraordinary outburst. So I moved and sat next to Miriam to support my colleague.
This morning I suggested that
@RosieDuffield1
was mistaken - I’m happy to correct that - she wasn’t
Here is the intimidation and bullying in three screenshots
I hope
@CommonsSpeaker
@Keir_Starmer
and
@UKLabour
will now investigate Lloyd Russell-Moyle’s behaviour in parliament
I raised a Point of Order in the House of Commons about the behaviour of the MP for Brighton Kemptown.
There can be no other explanation other than he was trying to intimidate Miriam Cates MP - following a debate on the Scottish Gender Recognition Bill.
Completely unacceptable
Today I shall back a PM who:
👉Won an 80 seat majority just over two years ago
👉Solved the deadlock of Brexit
👉Put jabs in arms & ended COVID lockdowns
👉Has stood with Ukraine
👉Delivered the lowest unemployment since 1974
The PM won our Party a majority & deserves to govern
This is just appalling - today I have asked the Foreign Secretary if will he call for the UNSC to set a specific meeting to urge India to abide by international law on the Kashmir dispute -

What the clipped video from this public nuisance doesn’t show, is that he was interrupting my wife and daughter as they visited me at Westminster. He also got my name wrong.
It would not be in my political interests - but it would better for everyone if Labour listened more to
@RosieDuffield1
and less to
@lloyd_rm
on these issues
At the weekend, had a conversation with my wife about the impact on our family should I stand for the Party leadership and become Prime Minister. She told me I was an idiot and took my phone off me.
It really pains me to ask this question, but is it time to put the BBC out of its licence fee misery? It must be painful for them to be funded by millions of people it no longer has anything in common with? via

Tonight
@UKLabour
’s amendment allowed Parliament to come together to support an immediate humanitarian ceasefire.
Instead of backing it like many of their MPs wanted, the Tories walked out.
As the government played games, Labour gave the public a voice on the world stage.
Some of the same colleagues (usually in safe seats) who ousted Boris Johnson, have openly undermined his successor since day 1. This is selfish and self-seeking. What do they want?
They don’t deserve to be Conservative MPs. Plenty of talent on our candidates list.
All leadership candidates should promise not to withdraw from the ballot should they reach the final two. The membership deserve a say on who leads the Conservative Party. MPs should know this before we start voting.
I fought a by-election in
#Peterborough
in 2019. I came third. We didn’t deliver Brexit.
Six months later,
@BorisJohnson
won an 80 seat majority. I became the MP for my City.
We delivered Brexit, got through Covid & built an alliance for Ukraine.
Boris was an election winner.
Today I have backed Miriam Cates MP who is introducing a Bill in Parliament to give parents the legal right to see materials used in Relationships, Health & Sex Education lessons (RHSE) 🙏
Last night, I was told the Great Northern m could be used to host asylum seekers who have travelled here ILLEGALLY on small boats😡
This is a historic, city-centre hotel. It’s the wrong choice.
I oppose this & will do everything I can to ensure the it’s back to being a hotel😞
The danger of gender self-identification laid bare. This rapist should be nowhere near a female prison and the SNP/Labour politicians - who pretend this is okay - nowhere near Government.
Make no mistake, if Labour wins the next election, PR will put EU membership back on the table and allow for an open border policy to be implemented as Sir Keir panders to Lib Dems and leftwingers in his own party
I agree with you Sadiq - but maybe if you had unequivocally condemned the protests and gatherings earlier this summer, and asked the police to crack down on them - people would now think twice. Your words are hollow.
This looks a bit good doesn’t it? The last two Labour MPs for Peterborough blocked Brexit despite our City voting leave in 2016. I put that right today.
In years to come people will look back on this whole episode in amazement. The conclusions of the report clearly go way too far. Every journalist, commentator and politician who has rang my phone incessantly since 9am accepts this. Few are brave enough enough to say publicly.
Following the Sue Gray appointment - people can see this is utterly ludicrous. Partygate probe relies on material provided by the leader of the opposition's chief of staff.
It breaches the principles of natural justice via

I am very proud to announce the inaugural AGM of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Hazaras took place today in Parliament - I am the first Chair 👍
It means we are official & we have an outlet for the Hazara community in Peterborough & the UK in Parliament 💙 Big day!
#Hazara
The fact that Sue Gray appointed a legal eagle to advise her on Partygate who was telling his twitter followers to join Labour boggles the mind!
This grubby appointment to Leader of Opposition’s office suddenly makes a lot of sense. We need full disclosure from Sir Keir👇
Elton is part of the same N London ‘champagne socialist’ clique that appear periodically to espouse their Left-wing & anti-Brexit credentials to a bored country
They have about as much in common with working people as a £12.50 avocado on toast breakfast
On 26 Oct I called for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza. I lost my job as a PPS
Today more Conservative MP colleagues call for a ceasefire. This is big news
Lord Cameron has called for lasting peace. Every day more people call for a ceasefire
We are on the right side of history
Today, I spoke with Hazaras holding a rally outside Parliament about the persecution & murder of family members back home in Afghanistan 😞
There is a big community in
#Peterborough
. I shall set up an All Party Group and do what I can to highlight their plight
#HazaraGenocide
Fiona Onasanya has refused to do the right thing and step down. Now Peterborough can demand a new MP who will represent local people and deliver on our decision to leave the EU.
#Peterborough
can already back a local
#Brexit
supporting candidate to be their MP. I voted Leave, campaigned for Vote Leave and am optimistic about what Brexit can deliver.
#proudofpeterborough
#Peterborough
has the chance to vote for a better MP - it’ll be a choice between Jeremy Corbyn’s candidate and me. We’ve had a Labour MP who voted against delivering the referendum result. I’ll fight for the investment our City needs & ensure Brexit is a success for Peterborough
Conservative GAIN from Labour in Ravensthorpe ward,
#Peterborough
Richard Cham (Liberal Democrat) - 156,
Ed Murphy (Independent) - 615,
Mohammed Rangzeb (Conservative) - 1202,
Mohammed Tokir (Labour) - 775.
Well, I didn’t stand down and I won! A massive thank you to the people of
#Peterborough
! I’m so proud of this city and will serve you all equally. Let’s unite this great country 🇬🇧
The real disinformation here is
@MrJohnNicolson
selectively cropping the screen grab to make it look like Nadine selected the pictures, rather than them being embedded as part of a Mail story….
The picture Nadine Dorries is retweeting is of Keir Starmer sharing a curry with Frank Dobson who died in 2019. Ergo he could not have been eating with Keir Starmer in 2021 no matter what time of day it was. Nadine Dorries is the Cabinet minister responsible for

Wes Steeting says "Lee Anderson is a great example of what is wrong with the Conservative Party." He is actually a great example of what is wrong with Labour. They despise patriotic, working class people - and the feeling is mutual. 👇
Conservative Party members deserve a vote on who leads our Party. Every leadership contender should promise - NOW - that should they reach the final two, they won’t do a grubby deal and withdraw denying members a say.
This is right. The Boris submission is consistent with with his claim he did not deliberately mislead the House. Any objective analysis would say the same. If the inquiry reaches any other conclusion, we should give up any pretence of having serious or grown up politics.
I have now read the Boris submission. It supports his assertion he did not intentionally mislead the House. For God’s sake can we now get back to reducing inflation, cutting the deficit and growing the economy.
Delighted to have been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Secretary of State
@DCMS
@NadineDorries
. I’m proud of what this Government is achieving for
#Peterborough
and our country.
Labour have effectively bankrupted the 2nd biggest City in the country. The biggest local authority in Europe.
This is terrible news for local people who rely on public services - let down by Labour.
For their sake, I hope the Government intervenes.
Thank you to people of
#Peterborough
who have elected me as their MP. It’s a privilege and an honour to represent my home City. I am
#proudofpeterborough
and will work for everyone in this great city! We did it!
Keith and his colleagues stop for booze and takeaway after a hard day of zooms calls for party business.
Downing Street staff relaxed in the garden after another hard day of trying to the pull the country through a pandemic.

Some Labour MPs are pouring scorn on Boris and Carrie. What sort of world view do these Labour MPs have? If you’re unable to wish a newly wed couple well, then just don’t say anything...

China don’t play by the rules and it’s foolish to expect them to do so. The EU, U.S and
#CANZUK
countries should apply NATO principles to trade wars. Immoral trade attacks on one are an attack on all.
China is about to wipe out, with the stroke of a pen, Australia's biggest export markets for wine, lobster and a few other commodities, against WTO rules and a bi-lateral FTA. Seems like it should be a bigger deal, and not just in Australia....
The Joint Select Committee are looking at lessons to be learnt from the pandemic. Evidence yesterday from Mr Cummings was ‘headline grabbing’ and relevant on preparedness - but sullied by ludicrous analogies, an infantile world view of heroes & villains, and bitterness.
When some are asking if there any Thatcherites left in Government, I can certainly confirm that there is a least one super fan within the 2019 intake. This picture is waiting to inspire the parliamentary team when we are allowed to return to the office.
I am setting up an All Party Parliamentary Group that will speak up for the Hazara community in this country - and those Hazaras that are facing murder and persecution elsewhere in the world.
Their voices will be heard
#HazaraLivesMatter
The EU have threatened to punish the UK throughout this process just for wanting to leave. They’ve not negotiated in good faith during transition hoping a ‘no deal’ and the NI Protocol may break up the UK. The UK Internal Market Bill helps prevent that
On a weekend break (holiday) to Bulgaria I met the Mayor of Karlovo. He asked me to give Boris a bottle of local wine 😊
Great to catch up and tell him all about
#Peterborough
- the £100 million plus of Levelling Up investment our City has been given. All started by him 💙
I promised the
#Hazara
community in
#Peterborough
, I would raise the persecution and targeted killings of Hazaras in Afghanistan in the House of Commons 😞
This afternoon I asked the Foreign Secretary do something about it 💪
When we leave the EU in January, we are going for a free trade agreement with Europe signed sealed and delivered by the end of the year with no need to extend the transition period. Go Boris 💪
The great new deal we've done with our European friends takes us out of the EU in January. Let’s build a new relationship based on free trade not political alignment.
#CANZUK
is an idea whose time has come. I have joined the All Party Groups on Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the Commonwealth and CANZUK. As we leave the EU, lets prioritise our relationship with our historic friends
@CANZUK
The G20 Working Group on Tourism is taking place in Kashmir. This should be an opportunity to raise human rights and self-determination for the Kashmiri people.
I shall always be resolute representing my constituents of Kashmiri descent who are worried about family & friends.
Polls are now closed. Thanks to my amazing team and activists. And thank you to everyone who has voted for me. I love my City. Whatever the result, it’s been a blast!
#Peterboroughbyelection
I want to see an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. This is on the record. I lost my job as a Parliamentary Private Secretary as a result of writing to the Prime Minister asking for this.
The SNP are attempting to amend the Kings Speech to include a call for a ceasefire.🧵1/4
Pub owners who interpret the rules to keep pints flowing are not doing wrong. They are protecting their businesses. This could be the unintended consequence of this policy. The virus is not less deadly with of bowl of chips. This policy should be changed.
Steve is a superb appointment! Popular and a heavy hitter. Fought a marginal seat in the past, and understands we have to show those that voted Conservative in 2019 (perhaps for the first time) that we are delivering for them. Going down very well with colleagues.
It is an honour to have been asked by the PM to serve as Chief of Staff for No10 Downing Street alongside my responsibilities in the Cabinet Office.
I am looking forward to working with the PM, Ministers and Parliamentary colleagues on the issues that matter most to our country
It was one hell of a ride! Thanks to everyone who helped on my campaign. You were amazing. Sorry I didn’t make it across the line. Timing is everything in politics. Congratulations
@LisaForbes_
Most fun was winning people over on the doorstep - clearly a lot more of that to do...
They say you should never meet your heroes. I met Gary Lineker a few years ago at a charity do. Loved him as much as I did in 1990.
But this breaks my heart. Comparing a policy that will save lives to Nazi Germany is beyond disgusting 😢
Trusting Sir Keir with Brexit is like trusting Dracula at the blood bank.
He pushed for a second referendum & tried to block Brexit in Parliament.
He is probably the most pro EU MP in the UK. He will align us with EU rules and take us back in by stealth
Delighted to be formally reselected as
@Conservatives
candidate for Peterborough at the next election.

This is the best job I will ever have. MP for my home City. 👍
🌟 LGBTQ+ TOOLKIT FOR SCHOOLS 🌟
Residents have drawn my attention to this Toolkit for Schools published by Peterborough City Council.
It recommends the discredited Trans Inclusion Schools Toolkit by Brighton Council.
They should publicly withdraw this document.
Research suggests that children as young as 2 recognise their trans identity. Yet, many nurseries and schools teach a binary understanding of pre-assigned gender.
LGBTQ-inclusive and affirming education is crucial for the wellbeing of all young people! 🌈
A really strong speech from
@trussliz
. My favourite part was about the “real heroes”. Those who go out to work, take responsibility and aspire to a better life for themselves and their family.
The PM is right. We are on their side.

Because we are bored of your student politics.
You said absolutely nothing of substance and with only a few exceptions, all your colleagues did was make cringeworthy jokes about David Cameron.
It’s the NHS Wes, not the NUS.
