@MrCliveC @Darren6681 @PoliceDronesTom @policecommander @neil_andrews999 You join, because it’s a true vocation, because you have an innate sense of right or wrong. Because you believe, above all else, in the preservation of life, and of law, order, and society. When you are no longer willing to sacrifice everything, for that, it’s time to stand down.

#stormzy wearing a stab vest on stage, is considered “edgy”, apparently it’s a “statement”. Politicians and “celebs” are fawning over it. Try wearing one, every shift. Stab vests are not a fucking fashion accessory.

When I joined, if on foot patrol, and a hearse passed, you stopped, removed your headgear, and bowed your head. You had no idea who had died, or what they had done with their life, good, or bad. It was a simple mark of respect. Some of you appear to have forgotten that concept.

Can you imagine, if rape alarms were activated en-masse yesterday, horses bolted through crowds and people were killed. And, then it came to light that The Met knew of the threat, but did nothing about it? Those complaining now, would be the first to complain then. #GrowUp

You can’t quantify the harm this sort of thing does. No point in issuing apologies, explanations or reassurances “advice will be given” - too late, the damage is done. And the regular officer behind who happily just lets it unfold. Give me strength.

Your wife, husband, parentless child, none of them will get any satisfaction or comfort from pointing at a “rule” in the Highway Code. You’ll still be dead. Do not cycle past large vehicles on the nearside, particularly, if you know, or think they might not have seen you.

I don’t know how many “traumatic incidents” I experienced in 30yrs, after a while I didn’t consider anything traumatic, I just thought I was the same as everyone else. Now I’ve retired, and I’m amongst “everyone else”, I’m very, very aware I’m not the same, not at all.

During their careers, each police officer is likely to encounter between 400 to 600 traumatic events. Most citizens will experience between three or four in their lifetime.

How do you know they didn’t look? Put a cycle lane, to the nearside of a right hand drive vehicle (particularly a large one), there is a point where it’s not possible to see. For years cyclists have been warned of this, yet still they place their entitlement above their life.

You do understand that by deploying Taser (which is a lower level of force than a physical strike) he was dealt with, don’t you? Not only that neither he, nor any Officer, or any member of the public was injured. You do understand that, don’t you? Actually, you probably don’t.

We depend on our brave firearms officers to protect us from the most dangerous & violent in society. In the interest of public safety they have to make split-second decisions under extraordinary pressures. 1/3

This, is literally the fucking job. Someone, somewhere decided this wasn’t necessary, and now, they’ve decided it was a stupid idea. And, having reversed a stupid decision, they didn’t challenge at the time, they’re now congratulating themselves. TJF.

All the MP’s commenting on operational policing matters, based upon carefully edited clips on this platform really ought to wind their necks in. It’s not a good look and discredits the public office you hold, and The Nolan Principles you’re supposed to adhere to. Sit down.

This is an appalling piece of “journalism”. Well done to @McDonaldsUK for giving prisoners the opportunity and helping with their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.

@PennyMordaunt @anthea_bailey @ImperialNHS @DFID_UK “Think Globally, Act Locally”. We need to make it absolutely unacceptable in this Country first. Prosecute, with zero tolerance, not tip toe around the issue. Send a strong message to the rest of the world. We’re not even protecting kids effectively here yet.

I don’t know about you, but if I were the Police and Crime Commission, for a force that had been placed in Special Measures, I might think, I’d contributed to that situation, and be considering my position. @SadiqKhan @MayorofLondon

@gavinesler Is that the 2017 election, where over 80% of those who voted, voted for Parties who stood on a manifesto to leave the EU - that one? And, not forgetting this years Euro Elections, which resulted in the @brexitparty_uk becoming the biggest group of MEP’s? Sit back down.

@NiceEtoile Did you know that his partner was a victim of John Worboys? Given, that on Friday, he admitted 4 further offences, I suggest, it was a difficult day, for them both. The press, and the opportunists that collude with them, should be ashamed. No offences, disclosed, or established.

Put your money where your mouth is, apply to become a Special Constable. If you’re successful (big “if” I’d suggest) then you could comment from an informed position, instead of out of your arse.

If you see any MP on here, bleating about #Parliamentshutdown Simply ask; If Parliamentary time is so important, why have you just had 6 weeks holiday? What were you going to do, in the 4 (actual) days fewer that will be available, that you haven’t done in the last 3yrs?

This got quite a reaction today. The point was, those who have to wear stab vests, every day, in order, just to stay alive, do far more to prevent children killing other children, on behalf of drug dealers, than any “artist” jumping about on a stage, ever could. #perspective .

#stormzy wearing a stab vest on stage, is considered “edgy”, apparently it’s a “statement”. Politicians and “celebs” are fawning over it. Try wearing one, every shift. Stab vests are not a fucking fashion accessory.

@smithavt @northants_SRT @NorthantsChief You’ve never dealt with fatal have you? You’ve never had to break the news, to a wife, husband, child? You’ve never had to explain, that, they can’t see their loved ones body, because it’s damaged beyond recognition? Because a self entitled prick was exceeding the speed limit.

Tony here confirming he’s particularly dense because exceeding a speed limit on a bicycle can be an evidential and aggravating factor for offences under Sec 28 and 29 of The Road Traffic Act 1988 and Sec 35 Offences Against The Person Act 1835. @MarkH_Photo

@KirstieMAllsopp Foreign travel for leisure purposes, is the epitome of selfishness. A communicable, respiratory illness, that kills, relies on close contact, in confined spaces. Air travel is the perfect conduit. Nothings changed, particularly the behaviour of the overentitled and stupid.

Just so we’re clear. You regularly post “close pass” videos, yet here you are overtaking an LGV at over 50kmh into the face of, and between oncoming traffic, but that’s ok? Your videos show you essentially use the road, as your own personal speed trial and race track. Idiot.

Have a look at the lengths this fella will go to block me from re entering. He’s deliberately closed the gap to within two meters of the car ahead. The driver ahead must think they’re in a Spielberg movie

The replies are predictable, and understandable. The appointment begs a fundamental question though. If this officer is believed suitable for this role, with such limited policing experience, do they need to be a police officer, at all? Why even hold the office of Constable?

@ForChange_Now 17.4 million of us “came together” and “took a stand” in 2016. You spent three and a half years trying to subvert and undermine a democratically obtained instruction. We waited, quietly, and resolutely, and when we were given the chance, we spoke again. #GoodRiddance
