@joetidy I can remember reading about local authorities sending out letters to 104 year olds a few years ago, telling their "parents" that they were expected to start school that year.

@rjones1907 @MarinaHyde He was made an honorary Vice-Admiral on his 55th birthday, and was expecting to be made an honorary Admiral on his 60th, but the other stuff got in the way. I read the Daily Mail website, so you didn't have to.

@hansmollman I think I can remember an episode of That's Life 30 ish years ago where they reported this happened in France. Some British tourists parked their car in a quiet side street, which turned out to be where a senior minister lived, and they came back to find the doors blown off.

@i_zzzzzz The one time I actually spoke to someone about turning their phone off was when I saw A Monster Calls. I was absolutely blubbering at how moving that film was, but a guy a few rows in front of me was still turning phone on every few minutes. I actually went and said, with a.

@exitthelemming Adding a positive number, you walk forward the number of steps. Subtracting a positive number, you walk backwards the number of steps. Subtracting a negative number, you turn round then walk backwards. So it's the same as walking forwards. You can physically walk on a lawn.

@sarajmichels @quakerraina St Maud might be the only film I've ever seen where a woman vomits but isn't pregnant. Oh, maybe The Exorcist.

@RichardJMurphy Would he not want to minimise the coverage for his security detail, so staying put in a secure area, giving his bodyguards more of a chance for a Christmas with their families? I think I recall Johnson didn't do that.

@YeOldeMMRF @chrisjallan @chrislepkowski 38 years ago, the song was raising money to feed people in Ethiopia. Now it's raising money to feed people in our own country. Doesn't feel like progress.

@hunleyeric Please note, this is in the US rather than the UK, where copyright law is different. In general in the UK, works become out of copyright the calendar year 70 years after the author's death. e.g. Hemingway won't be out of copyright in the UK until 1 January 2032.

@fesshole Should give the room to this woman:.
I've been married to my hubby for 10 years, for 6 months I've been having an affair, I don't fancy the person I'm cheating with and the sex is terrible but quick, I like the time away in country hotels where I can relax and read or go walk with no distractions form hubby or kids.
