@DailyMail What is also beyond parody is that the place @dailymail.co.uk chooses to highlight the gulf between booming Poland and failing Britain is Sunderland - a city famous for being the first to declare for Brexit. Shouldn’t it be thriving by now?

Amazing, the @DailyMail manages to publish an entire feature bewailing (!!!!) the exodus of Poles from Britain without once mentioning Brexit. Apparently this outcome (which is what it campaigned for in 2016) is all the fault of Keir Starmer.
dailymail.co.uk
New statistics reveal that while 7,000 Poles arrived in the year ending last June, 25,000 returned home: a net outflow of 18,000. The UK's total Polish population has shrunk to 750,000.

As the @DailyMail loses its shit over an exodus of Poles from Britain, worth reflecting on the warm welcome that it and other parts of the rancid right-wing media gave them over the years

QPR can confirm its withdrawal from the Winter Cup, a youth tournament in Milan. This action was taken after one of our U13 players was subjected to racist abuse from an opponent on Saturday. Despite progressing to the next stage, we will not be continuing our involvement.

How disgusting that thé newspaper which agitated most actively for Brexit is now trying to blame others for the departure of Poles from Britain! They are leaving because of Brexit. It broke Britain. Everyone can see it except you.
.@DailyMail: "The great Polish exodus: The arrival of 100,000s of Poles changed the face of 🇬🇧, but now they're returning home in droves for a better life in their low-tax, booming homeland. Could there be a more damning indictment of our decline?"

Our MA course leader @paulbradshaw has published an update to his widely-used '7 angles for data stories' framework 👇
If you've used my 7 angles of data journalism stories you might have wondered about the similarity between ranking and variation stories. I've now written a post on the difference between them: https://t.co/b5xwp4ob8v

Newspaper that rampantly encouraged hate against migrants, wonders why migrants don't wish to stay in the shitty Brexit 'paradise' it helped to deliver. If the news journalists who work for this loathsome rag could spend one day in the shoes of a migrant they might get it.
Daily Mail : "Poles fled the country because that's what we wanted with #Brexit, and now they're headed back to a better life in the ... EU." Wait, what ?

Remarkable post match press conference from #CFC head coach Enzo Maresca here as he labels last 48 hours as his worst at the club and hits out at lack of support. More here: #CHEEVE

Really enjoying The Slum Sport, the story of Football from the 1985/86 season! 📚⚽️ This book is actually quite fascinating my myself, as I was a mere toddler during the 85/86 season and yet the book has two real big assets for me that the clearly talented @chrislepkowski has

Definitely a factor. Also feel his early performances were maybe tainted by a touch of imposter syndrome. That's only natural for a league newcomer. Clear he is very capable of flourishing at this level
I think it's mainly a case of a manager finally now playing the way to make the most of him!! Header v QPR and last night's finish were both fantastic goals. If he keeps scoring, he will be gone!!
