Firstly I'd like to thank you all again for the support you have given to the case and therefore to me. It has been agreed that the case will go forward, this is excellent news!
The final hearing is set for five days from 29th July- 2nd August this year in Cambridge 1/
This is interesting, when asked my pronouns at work I stated that I dont use them as I find them sexist and homophobic. I was reported and investigated and found to be 'transphobic' , I absolutely deny this, so I have a court case in July👇
I'm a gender critical lesbian. I believe I've been discriminated against by my employer Cambridgeshire County Council. This will now be tested in court. I would be grateful for your support. Please donate if you can, and please share widely.
At work I said It was sad that trans identified men are in the lesbian groups now, either in person or on dating apps. I was investigated and found to be transphobic. As a lesbian I am deeply upset by this I have a court case beginning 31july👇
It’s lesbian visibility week. I stand with my many lesbian friends who are fighting to maintain the boundaries of female single-sex attraction - which by definition exclude men however those men identify - in the face of everyday lesbophobia.
I expressed my sadness that trans identifying men are in lesbian groups both socially and in online dating sites, which prevents lesbians from meeting exclusively as other groups do.
Complaints were made and I was subject to an investigation.
I was investigated by my employer Cambridgeshire County Council because I responded to a questioner re pro nouns: 'I dont use pronouns as I think they're sexist and homophobic', so I've been labelled as transphobic-
Q: where does compelled speech begin?

I attended the
#LetWomenSpeakCambridge
yesterday, 1st time. I saw no transphobia and far right ideology here, not from the crowd or from the organiser
@ThePosieParker
Women were speaking about

What struck me, 1/2
Im proud to say that I live in Cambridgeshire where the NHS Rosie Maternity hospital staff have voiced their opinions (be it anonomously) to support the word mother-maternity hospital staff! Fantastic! The only badge needed at work is your name badge.
How many places tell us to bring our whole selves to work? Yet my employer told me my gender critical views are not welcome, can you support my legal case to ensure protected beliefs are respected?
The Court now needs to decide.
were the people shouting and banging in oposition to women speaking about safeguarding vulnerable members of our community. These people were wearing masks- what happened to out and proud?
There are now 11 days to go until my crowdfunder closes, if the total is not reached the fund collapses, and the case goes no further, please share and donate if you can, thanks
Hi everyone, I'd like to thank you all for the amazing support you've given to me so far- It's coming up to 5 months! We now have a date for the preliminary hearing - 8th March. I'll update as soon I have further info-onward at last!
Crowd funder: 'I am a fellow social worker and am terrified to speak my mind. Thank you for your courage'
-thank you for supporting the case and look out for the new SEEN in Local Authority who are starting up soon, and of course
@ebswa
Stay safe👍
Hello all, see update crowd funder, we now have the funds to support my case through the preliminary hearing. We are waiting for a response from the council. Thank you all for getting me to this point, please continue to support, this will not be a sprint-
Ive been contacted by more public sector workers in Cambridgeshire, they cannot speak out, they worry and they thank me- this case is about the public sector and our right to have a voice, please support if you can-
This is a repeated to me often-
"I am supporting you for very selfish reasons, as I myself want to be free to openly express my gender critical views without fear of harassment or discrimination. Best of luck!"
Thanks, we need to keep up tbe fight!
Grateful for all the support for my crowdfunder with comments like *good luck and thank you from a GC NHS worker in fear of being found out that I know sex is immutable, binary...* ❤️
Thank you, I'm sorry you're in this position too.
I'm a gender critical lesbian. I believe I've been discriminated against by my employer Cambridgeshire County Council. This will now be tested in court. I would be grateful for your support. Please donate if you can, and please share widely.
Since starting my claim professionals have continued to privately contact me, telling their stories of silencing and bullying. It's continues throughout the public sector.
Will you help me to stop it?
£17.500 (+) achieved -THANK YOU all so much, I cannot tell you what this means. The
First hurdle is over,
a long way to go still, Im counting on your support to stay with me, please keep sharing and Thank you again 💪
Congratulations, and thank you for your input
@Transgendertrd
Health and Social Care departments need to now take common sense seriously, to work within the law and attend to the actual focus of our regulated roles= Safeguarding 1st!
Social worker Rachel Meade has won her claim of harassment against
@SocialWorkEng
and
@CityWestminster
.
This is a huge result for social workers who hold "gender critical" views due to safeguarding concerns. We were pleased to be witnesses in this case.
My intention is that this case will further the understanding of the law and hopefully mean that fewer people will be harrassed and discriminated against in the workplace- the purpose of this case. Thank you again for any support you are able to offer 4/
So, I went to
@AllianceLGB
Conference on friday! It was so confirming, It reminded me and my friends about what we have lost, the LGBA single and mixed spaces that we chose, we all knew where we were, there were no underhand threats, no homophobia. Just you and yr mates-LGBA ✊
This is
@EmSilverwood91
I met her once several years ago, she offered to speak about my case at the
#LetWomenSpeakCambridge
She was quite phenomenal! Thank you Emilie you were fantastic✊✊✊

A message from a Lesbian - Men cannot be lesbians - A woman - A social worker is due in court in July - so I speak for her. The process has left her feeling humiliated and alone, her employer made her feel like she was regarded as a bigot -
SEEN case evidences why it's important to share at work. I was whispering with colleagues, when I did speak about womens GC views, about lesbian rights and how EDI info was often-in my opinion misleading I was investigated-It remains high risk to speak out
@Dagenhamrifles
@ImmutableSex
I cannot bear that young women are again having to go through this- we older women thought we had won the fight ! - glad your daughter and her friends are meeting, rather than being coersed into 'other ways' - strength to her 💪💪-and to you for caring
ICYMI: I'm a lesbian social worker taking my employer council to court for harassment & discrimination on grounds of my sex based beliefs
If you've already supported, thank you. If you can, please do & please share

@MrsNickyClark
Canterbury are very lucky to have such a strong, calm and collected Member of Parliament to vote for in the next election, there are many of us who wish we could say the same. Much respect to you
@RosieDuffield1
for staying the course, as hard as it must have been for you.
Its my birthday today, and its also
#WorldJellyfishDay
! - I'm happy with just the one day myself, however for jellyfish who have been around for 500 million years surely they should have a week? - better still 2 months?
Thanks to the donor who said-
"I may not 100% agree with your views but I will defend to the end your absolute right to hold them without fear of punishment. Good luck." I couldnt agree more, respectful diversity of thought is crucial, thank you-
Ive just chucked my hat in.. Enough is enough, we cannot all be bullied into silence, however only those who can, can. I've just started out and the support I've recieved is most important
I very much admire women who find themselves in the spotlight in this battle. They never asked for it. Most don’t want it at all. They just want decent regular lives. They lose a lot. What they go through is horrible.
@EmSilverwood91
I am taking Cambs County Council to court, I have been accused of transphobia because I stated that I believe there are only 2 sexes. I have been contacted by Health&SC staff in the county supporting me anonomously, people dare not speak out!
I went to my bro's for some r&r, the
@VisibleLesbian
march was on so despite some social anxiety i went-so glad I did th lesbians were warm and supportive and arranged a fab, affirming demo. Those Welsh women are magnificent! lesbians need out own spaces!
Some old pals of mine have contacted saying they have contributed- anonomously, they work in both health and social care- sad, saturday morning resolve here, please support, the funder is nearly there!! ✊✊
A donor wrote"Recognising the reality of biological sex is crucial to society's ability to protect women and children and uphold sex-based rights. Denial of biological reality by social work profession puts women and children at risk." completely agree!✊
From a donor
'I also work in Children’s Social Care and feel my employment would be in jeopardy if I expressed my gender critical views. I still have to be anonymous' thank you for your contribution 😘 I abolutely know what you mean, have you seen the SEEN group request?
I went LGBA conference yesterday, thank you
@AllianceLGB
#LGBA2023
and how thereaputic was that!? - a space of love, freedom of expression, where I was free to be -I really needed that, its given me back some much needed strength thank you all.
I've been reading the messages of support on the Crowdfunder-from which I gain strength✊thank you-
and amusingly in there is the old adage - no publicity is bad publicity 😉
From tbe crowd funder,
"Good luck, I'm just another lesbian whose voice wasn't heard in any decision making within the LGBTQIA ngo's and corporate machinery."
Homophobia hasn't been this bad for many years,..
The funder is now at £11,000! thank you all so much for all the support, please keep sharing, and donating where you can, its getting there!
The case needs to be tested for the public sector, the Equality Act should protect us all..
So good to hear from friends supporting my case and amazing the amount of support from people I've not yet met, thank you to all of you, your strength gives me strength to carry on 💪💪-updates to follow
So, an academic, a man who knows all about our cultural social values has posted this "I am a professor of social work and academic disgusted by this overt discrimination that is both sexist and homophobic, something we must all fight against!" Respect to you Proffessor!
Ive been contacted by several women who're being investigated at work because they said something somebody else didn't like, all acceptable within a lawful and respectful way, how many are challenging the public sector?
Keep going💪💪
A donor:"I admire your courage in taking legal action to safeguard legal rights of all women and girls to speak about our protected personal beliefs. Well done for securing an excellent legal team! I wish you solidarity and strength"
Every bit of it!! ✊
I now have to return to the crowdfunder and continue to ask for support, I find this difficult though know it's importance. Please could I ask that you contribute if you can- I know this is a big ask, and if you can please share as widely as possible I would be very grateful /2
Please continue to share, particularly to public sector workers you know, this really is going to be a person by person campaign, why? - because we are too afraid to post to our colleagues, despite often knowing each others opinions -
I'm so thankful for the cases that have gone before mine and know that we must keep fighting. What should lawfully give us protections- the seminal Forstater v CGD has yet to become understood and embedded by many employers
/3
There are now 11 days to go until my crowdfunder closes, if the total is not reached the fund collapses, and the case goes no further, please share and donate if you can, thanks
#happylesbianvisibilityweek
A message from a man who's supporting his daughter- these stories are real-we have young lesbians meeting in secret so they're not bullied by men identifying as lesbians-
We older lesbians thought those days were gone 😱
"Good luck. I’m horrified my local council could do this. I’m in the health sector. I reckon they will come for me next." To read these messages of support is hard, this case is a call out to all public sector workers, we need a movement - please share with all colleagues you can
Really worth a read- health and social care still listening and quoting stonewall law proudly to employee's, lawful or not. It's been established that stonewall law is no law at all. Ignorance is no excuse, we all need to work lawfully to support our communities.
Hope everyone going to
#FiLiA2023
this weekend has an amazing time, I dont think Im going to make it for the 1st time in years- I'm on the waiting list🤞-can I ask for your support with my legal case? Thanks
One day to go for the initial crowd funder- thank you to everybody who got me over that 1st line, updates coming soon, please keep sharing- your support is what I need✊✊
My case is spotlighting public sector, Im not looking for crowd funding I've enough for initial court hearing-thanks to generous folk 😍, however I'd appreciate continued sharing so people know its happening!, an important case for all the publuc sector
@peterboghossian
I think you’re wrong about that. Our NHS, education, workplaces, institutions, police and governments are chock full of gender zealots. They run everything.
Really touched by comment from this recent donor
'For all the years we have worked together I have always known you to be such a strong advocate for people’s rights, treating them with respect and honesty. Thank you for standing up for what you believe in'
@mchastain81
Indeed, - hopefully this case will further evidence the need to follow the law, supporting everybody not excluding to attempt inclusion
And thanks 👍
As a social worker I can not in all conscience support the notion of the 'trans' child. I want evidence, where is it? Lets look at the mental health of our youth 1st. One child down a medical pathway is one too many until the evidence is conclusive-1st do no harm! Rant over-ish
One of the startling statistics in Time to Think by Hannah Barnes is that kids referred to the Tavistock are 10 times more likely than the national average to have a parent that is a registered sex offender.
Have a think about what the reason might be for those kids wanting to
Rosie Duffield's name is hidden from the meetings she attends and she's surrounded by police and private security, in order to protect her from labour party members at the party conference

A donor writes:
"Good luck Lizzie. So grateful to you and all the courageous women who are defending our legal protections against harassment and discrimination in the workplace and our sex-based rights as women, including sexual orientation."
Thank you!
Thank you
@HJoyceGender
for sharing my crowd funder, support from you hi profile women is really important for the sucess of the crowd funders and ultimately the sucesses of the cases!
A donor wrote: 'From a fellow social worker I want to say thanks for taking this stand'-I love social workers✊
and another wrote 'you got this Lizzie❤️'
I am very grateful for messages that give me strength- thank you!
A donor wrote
"I'm sorry it has to be you, Lizzy, but someone has to start this challenge. I'll support your cause and share it"
Thank you for the supportive message, it means alot
"Good luck and all the best to you, Lizzy. You’re doing the right thing and someday, hopefully, all this nonsense will end! Love from Canada"
Wow, Canada- all strength to Canada too
Maureen:'Recognising the reality of biological sex is crucial to society's ability to protect women and children and uphold sex-based rights. Denial of biological reality by the social work profession puts women and children at risk'
I believe in biological reality 👍
A really important case for the survival of women and girls sport, brave women all, and thanks to
@fairplaywomen
✊
-I've supported please do so if you are able
From a donor-thank you for your support
"What is happening to you and others is chilling. Lesbians have the right to exclude men from their dating pool, and to say that sex matters! Solidarity with you!
I've another message:'I’m not sure if you remember me-we worked together several years ago. When we worked together I found you to be a lovely, generous and supportive colleague. I was undertaking my ASYE as the time and you were just fab!!'-thank you -
I havent seen this level of homophobia since I was a whispy 17, being chased round town by big men shouting that I was 'taking their women', many years ago now, and, I thought that threat was over for our young lesbians
This made me think-
@ProfAliceS
is Professor of Sociology at University College London (UCL) and Head of Research at the UCL Social Research Institute. Thank you for such a measured, evidence based post. Nobody should be the subject of alarmist rhetoric-
On trans day of remembrance, let's remember that alarmist rhetoric encouraging trans people to fear for their lives is completely unjustified and irresponsible.
#TransDayofRemembrance
Donor: 'Thank you for being brave enough to take the stand for us'
I want to put down here that some days its very hard going, Im tough, my decision to begin litigation was/ is about being at the end of my tether and deciding its the right thing to do.
The homophobia around now so shocks me!
I dont think many people realise the implications when men identify as women. My sexuality is not an identity, its a sexual orientation.
Thanks for the support you give to our young lesbians & gays, we all need to step up -
I find this image homophobic and seriously hateful. I havent seen this level of homophobia for many years and it seems to be everywhere, not just on the streets 😕
I hear FiLiA has been the most amazing ever for everyone! Strength to all who were and were not there-
Continuing with the theme of strength please support my crowd funder if you can-✊
Think about this- an employee has to disguise themselves to say this, they cannot say these words openly in our democratic society-
How much whispering in how many offices? - for how much longer?
#Safeguarding
A whistleblower speaks. No, it's not someone at the Tavistock or another woo-bound gender clinic. It's a longstanding employee of BBC News, speaking under cover of anonymity because they might get sacked for saying these very obvious things in public
"With you all the way, sadly anonymously which is a point you make. I am silenced or I will lose my job. Fight them, they are wrong, they are bullies"
I'm hearing this so much, silent or I lose my job! How many of us are out there??
quality article about the takeover of Social Work
@kenmclaughlin_
, I have a mention👍-
@SexMattersOrg
'treating contested idea' s about gender asfact'
agreed, well said, hope a children's Social Worker is able to come forward soon
