Boys & young men growing up unable to accept girls saying ‘no’ to them pose a material risk. We need to urgently create spaces for dialogue with all boys about taking no for an answer, autonomy, boundaries - they are bombarded with the opposite. Adults need to show up.

I wrote about Ian Watkins and how a seemingly universal hatred of those who sexually abuse children is rarely matched by an enthusiasm to take whistleblowers seriously when it matters

Everybody hates a paedophile. In theory, at least. Following the death of former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins, plenty of people have been eager to voice their satisfaction. In 2013 Watkins was…

@sianberry @BrightonHoveCC Sounds an awful lot like -because it is exactly - blaming women for being attacked by men. Very dispiriting, but not surprising, to see. Here’s a link to the @FiLiA_charity event for people to make up their minds on rational ways:

Stumbled across this piece on ‘Multiple Intelligences’, ‘Learning Styles’ etc. I’m no expert, by a long way, but it raises some interesting points around ‘feel-good’ ‘moral conviction’ over empirical evidence, which rings some bells Thoughts? https://t.co/Q2R5Maqxi2

On a global and national level, our boys and young men are being mind-funneled with content, values and self-judgment metrics that are dangerous for them and for women & girls. The harms to each are interwoven. Not equal, not the same, but connected.
