Ireland: At least two of the men in the women’s wing ( capacity 28) in Limerick prison in Ireland, are sex offenders. They scream at female inmates in a sexual manner who then get sent to their cell should they complain. These women have already endured a lifetime of male abuse.
Given that It is pitifully difficult to get anyone convicted of rape in these isles, the idea that that rapist can then choose to be locked away with some of the most vulnerable women in society is appalling, and more people should have the guts to say so.
