Also, I had to learn not be sensitive about this, it’s about what is happening now and not what my ancestors did (they did both bad and good things, I am a descendant of slave owners and abolitionists, and plenty to g people who stood there while bad things happened)

I always thought of myself as a person that did not see color. I had to get over that because it effects people, people’s lives etc. Not seeing color is not useful. My point is, I had to come to terms with the fact that I was raised in a society that is racist.

I can’t even get a dress down jeans day at work for baseball in San Antonio (Rangers or Astros in the WS, either one) but let the Spurs sniff the playoffs, San Antonio in all black/silver & weeks of dress down. (This is why I have Spurs shirts & not a basketball fan 😂)

I have plenty of male friends with GF or wives. We do spend time together, sometimes even alone. As adult humans we all know how to have friends of various sexes and even sexualities. What rules like that do is keep women out of powerful positions. It’s childish IMO.

My mother happened to not be there but she was supposed to be, it took hours to locate her. I had another friend who was in the meeting they play the audio of at the museum and that person was not okay for many years. This is disgusting.
