Physician-scientist. Professor. Imaging & treating cancer, using particles faster than light and others. Opinions solely mine and not MSKCC's or lab members'.
@DrOz
Doctors EVERYWHERE, including myself are fed up with the harmful outpouring of misinformation from Mehmet Oz being promoted by the media.
There, corrected it for you.
Real doctors everywhere highly respect Dr. Fauci but not you.

Never, ever, ever mention “nuclear” to any border officer.
Ever.
I was asked what my work is in Newark once returning and I said I am a. Nuclear Medicine Physician and the red flag lit up in both his eyes. Was grilled for 5’ afterwards.
Now i just say cancer researcher.
@KristiNoem
I hope at some time you will be held personally responsible in a court of law in the US or The Hague for the death of many of your citizens. We'll safe this as evidence.
@NYDailyNews
Being a clinical scientist doing research to cure cancer and actively involved in cancer care clinically. Didn’t make $900 Mio with cosmetics but many (unpaid) nights and weekends for my work.

That argument again. You guys don’t get it. For a drivers license you need to make a test. Take lessons. Train. For the car you need to buy an insurance. For a gun. None of the above.
@kumailn
So according to Wallace trump came late to the debate and couldn’t get the COVID test. Now this coming late appears in a total different light. Did he not WANT to get tested because he knew what the result would be? Reckless endangerment. This guy needs to go to jail.
@NatureNeuro
You know that this is not open access, do you? Because it only allows access to papers from labs that can afford to pay this. 10% of that fee I could understand but unless you publish a detailed document what cost ist covered by this fee and proof of no benefit it reeks of greed.
@jboerckel

Nobody wants to ban all guns. Guns that allow you to kill a kindergarten class in a minute though should only belong into hands of trained experts (police, military) and not everyone. We see the result of this every week.
@redmondmichael1
My dad met a European in the Sahara desert. Other guy couldn’t speak English, my dad couldn’t speak French so they talked in Latin! For one hour and then they found out they both were from the same town.

It has never been “pro-life. It is pro-control, pro-submission. And also pure racism because it is certainly not the daughter of the rich white guy who will suffer the most.

They are afraid of you, that is why they go after you - You hit a nerve, be strong and do what you are doing! many people support you!!
@reboul_cyril
Rather a strong disbelief into novel science and the urge to have at least 50% of the experiments already done. And if you submit something incremental they don’t think it’s groundbreaking enough 🤪
@Surgeon_General
Sorry to hear about that. Hope they get better quickly.
If you only had been in a position to do something against COVID and speak ...
Oh - wait...!

Made the mistake once to respond to what kind of physician I were with "Nuclear Medicine"... all alarm bells went off. Since then: "Cancer"
@DBarkhuff
When Banting discovered insulin in 1923, he refused to put his name on the patent. He felt it was unethical to profit from a discovery that would save lives. Banting’s co-inventors,Collip and Best, sold the patent to U Toronto for $1. They wanted everyone to be able to afford it.

So usually the Democratic President has to clean up the mess the

leaves behind economically. Now it is the economy AND society AND public health in shambles. And so much more. And bury the dead.
Literally, bury the dead!
@TeaPainUSA
This country is sick. First of all - who shoots a 6 month old puppy in a residential area? And then hits her own child? And then a misdemeanor for the dog owner - but the shooter gets away with nothing it seems?
So, so much wrong with all of this. I'll avoid Texas like hell.

Good luck. Protein are transported, shuffled, synthesized and degraded. Dynamic state. There is not "one location" Also depends on cell cycle,. what kind of cell, where in the body. Maybe better things to throw our money at than that.
@Craig_A_Spencer
While at some point in time the rest of the world will be OK we will be still struggling. And banned from participating in life as the rest of the world does. Because nobody wants us to come or to come here. Pariahs on every level.

Wouldn't it be karma if CORONA now downed his entire legal team for at least two weeks. That light flu that was already gone several times until it wasn't...?
@equalityAlec

Why does it feel that this entire system is collapsing on all fronts? Healthcare seen as privilege and not a right, no real justice, CEOs making billions and paying their workers crums, one party sabotaging democracy. This will not end well.
@nycsouthpaw
And while we are it - I read that the "Senate Leader" is a courtesy appointment by tradition and not based on the constitution. The VP is presiding the senate and as such can decide which bills go to the floor and which not. Disempower

How in the world is being asked and, yes, requested to wear 5 layers of thin fabric over your mouth and nose impeding onto ones “freedom” if it saves the freedom to live of others and yours?
This entitlement will be topic of research paper and history books for a long time.
The May cover illustrates that a clinical fiberscope for Cerenkov luminescence imaging can be used to detect tumour location in patients with cancer who had undergone routine molecular imaging.

So glad he took care of the most dangerous threat to the people in the US. Thankfully there are no other pressing issues. Like, you know, a virus pandemic or something like that... or the economy tanking. Or people loosing houses. Thank god all THAT is not happening right now.

I brought my kids to the Marches for women and science and other protests in NYC with more than 200k attendants. It is a lesson in civil rights. IDK what was happening around and before but spraying a kid is not acceptable IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

We once found a book chapter that was verbatim a review paper we wrote. Including figures. Book had to be destroyed, entire edition of it.

In Germany it was the law at some time that you have to report at a certain place with one piece of luggage only if you were belonging to a group of ppl not liked by the gvmt. You would have supported that then as well because it’s the law? You lack human decency. Simple.
@nowthisnews
Illegal. Cannot break into someone’s property without a search warrant issued by a judge and ICE’s warrants are not issued by judges. 4th amendment violation.

Exactly that is the problem. It is not supposed to rain there as much. Also hellfire in Canada and California, Tenerife and Greece are not supposed to happen with that frequency.
But continue to put your head into the sand.

I hear you but aren’t you also a bit blaming the messenger and leaving out those who intentionally fabricated those lies in the first place. Yes the news spread them but they did not create them.

Furthermore there are international laws and regulations like the Geneva Convention. But I guess that is another bad deal preventing MAGA, right? 🙄

Also amazing how fast they react if it suits their politics but if there is evidence of real wrongdoings (science fraud, harassment) it takes glacial time.
Texas will have trouble recruiting talent.
@maggieNYT
Why are you normalizing Tweety Amin all the time? He is lying.. Spell it out. A falsehood is being untrue. A lie is a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive. That’s what he does.
Clinic today. Someone with MSKCC batch asked me about imaging equipment in 1818. I started a monologue on Röntgen in 1895 and that there was no imaging before other than microscopy and telescope, Leeuwenhoek etc.
Turns out he was from IT looking for a PACS station in room 1818…
@PaulBieniasz
The problem in the US is not in general lack of available doses (though in some cases it is) but seems more lack of distribution, willingness to get the vaccine and general misorganisation on a federal and state level.

Happy birthday Sir David. One of the real heroes. Certainly one of mine. My son wrote him a letter and I dropped it i to the mail when I was in London. He got a response from him before I even was back!

@MasklessGypsy
Where did you get your PhD, if that is a true title? Can't be in any life sciences as this is total bogus. Did you notice that he sun was going up a tat earlier after his friends where over? Same coincidence.
@darrenlogan
My son wrote him a letter and drew a picture. I took the letter and posted it in London. When I came back no e he had already received a response from Sir David. What an amazing man.
Having a major paper accepted AND then getting news on the grant related to it all within a week is like winning the lottery. Yet in science, we rarely take a breather to rejoice somehow...
