We integrated @RESOLUTE_IMI data with public datasets to build a comprehensive, open-access #SoluteCarrier resource—systematically mapping their biochemical functions and biological roles. A blueprint for extracting insights from complex multi-omics data

Over 35,000 double knockouts revealed synthetic lethal pairs and redundancies, highlighting therapeutic targets—especially in mitochondrial #SLCs. SLC39A1, a zinc #transporter, surprisingly drives metabolic rewiring and anti-apoptotic signaling in cancer

Highlights from the interactome study include #PDZ-domain roles in trafficking and degrons in stability—uncovering how #SLCs are controlled post-translationally.

In the global survey of the SLC-protein interaction landscape we determined the protein interactions of ~400 #SLCs revealing thousands of new links.

Clustering and integration of metabolomics and transcriptomics profiles of all #SLCs enabled the linkage of #SLCs to new metabolic pathways. Further experimental validation uncovered roles in osmolyte balance and glycosylation

Hundreds of genetically modified cell lines covering the entire #SLC superfamily were generated for systematic omics studies. By measuring metabolomics, we revealed functions for 71 unknown transporters. Among them, #SLC45A4 was found to transport polyamines.
