How come you have deliberately blocked one thousand GP practices who serve our most vulnerable rural patients from offering this natively. Why is it reserved for Boots etc and not available to Dispensing GPs? Time after time your policies threaten the very existence of rural

Nearly 400,000 people have used a new NHS App prescription tracking feature in the first ten weeks since its launch. See how the tracker is helping to reduce unnecessary calls and visits to pharmacies across England. https://t.co/waIcV9zzR8

GPs criticised by coroner for ‘not understanding’ medical examiner process and making unnecessary death referrals. The frequency with which doctors offer a cause of death ‘has declined considerably’ I wonder why🤔 Maybe something to do with Govt & media https://t.co/ArYVc2S4r4

We're asking @wesstreeting for a commitment to protect GP practices from the unfair and potentially devastating financial burden of increased employer NI Contributions. Read the full letter here 👇

HMT have given DHSC £22.6bn There is now a choice to be made There’s an opportunity here - if waiting lists are the must-do, who’s best placed to articulate the prioritisation of those decisions with their patient? Who has the helicopter view? Who will be most effective?

GPs are pretty concerned right now, as we’ve received no confirmation that we will receive funding specifically to pay increased employers NI contributions. We have no ability to increase prices and do not operate in the private sector. We need confirmation ASAP

I mean, it’s pretty basic stuff. Not knowing the NHS won’t have to pay the NI rise? Tory MPs who refused to vote for Badenoch muttered she was never across the detail and she was accident prone. She’s proving them right in her very first interview.

As a fellow doctor who lives in Bury St Edmunds and a former Lib Dem council candidate, I couldn’t be happier to vote Labour for @PeterPrinsley tomorrow. He will make an excellent MP if elected

Tomorrow, voters in Bury St Edmunds & Stowmarket will have a choice: me or Sunak’s right hand man. A vote for any other party here is a vote for the Tories. Consider what you really want: more of the same, or change. If you want change, please consider lending me your vote.

@scottishphil83 On Twitter health policy discussion is polarised into ‘sixth-form-socialists’ versus ‘privatise-everything’. GP autonomy & the profit motive are assets. Set broad contractual parameters, give practices resources & more latitude. But NHS can’t stop themselves interfering.

It would be interesting to set the GP spend at >10% & challenge the rest of the NHS to run as efficiently as contractor GPs? Too much cash wasted on nebulous overly complex organisations in myriad ‘bits’ of the NHS or creamed off in profits for shareholders, not patient care?

Primary care is not the dumping ground for the workload of poorly commissioned secondary care services. You do trans patients a disservice by implying their specialist care should be any different from any other area. I’d encourage you to look at the strain primary care is under

@madmedicalman @gmcuk @rcgp I’d encourage you to look at the strain gender identity services are under on the UK and question whether this would be an acceptable model for healthcare provision

@JimBethell @BMA_GP To quote Wittgenstein, whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent. Or better still Lincoln’s better to remain silent & be thought a fool than speak & remove all doubt. Please retract and apologise for the offence caused to 1000s of professionals within Team GP.

GPC England has spoken: the current 24-25 contract offer is woefully inadequate and puts patients and staffing levels at risk. Watch the video update from @doctor_katie on our next steps, and why GPs should join the BMA to ensure you have your say. https://t.co/1i2Os1Gbsu

NHS staff should receive priority NHS care. No private company would do anything but. Ideology needs to be put to one side on this, it’s pragmatic and will clearly benefit all patients by reducing staff absence and reducing waiting lists overall.
