Firstly- never got that vibe from the public or #T1D community Secondly- how do the public know who is or isn’t qualified in this country ? The accent? Or the colour of your skin? Let’s be honest in our conversations as to what “locally qualified” means in such a context.
@FraserNelson Doctor replacement is easier if you devalue the profession. Importing doctors is one strand of this strategy. Overall, the public don't respect or trust them as much as they did British-trained doctors. These doctors are also disadvantaged by having less cultural understanding.
