I am convinced that we will all be doing AI detox for a month at a time. I am seriously considering this. (COI Ankit AI).

They are choosing to abstain from using artificial intelligence for environmental, ethical and personal reasons. Maybe they have a point, writes Guardian columnist Arwa Mahdawi

I am just a casual observer from over here, but does anyone actually know what is happening?. What does a drug price coming down by 1200% actually mean?.
Trump: I want to get the drug prices down by 1,000%, 1,200%. You know what I mean by that. We'll have drug prices coming down by 500, 600, 800, even 1,200%.

This is a fantastic, linked article with honesty that I haven't seen elsewhere. I absolutely agree that AI will not save the NHS. It won't even move the needle. And that is coming from someone who has enabled AI into General Practice like no one else. Love this line.
One of the reasons I am SUCH an AI skeptic is because of @Doctorow. Calling BS on the hype once again. It's really NOT going to save the NHS.

I am really enjoying community notes when it comes to countering political spin. "This is MISLEADING. ".
A record-breaking 383 million GP appointments delivered this year. By slashing red tape, we're helping GPs get more time to focus on their patients. And with new Neighbourhood Health Services, we'll bring care closer to home.

It's a strange thing to try and leverage. He is threatening to not train enough doctors to meet the health needs of the population. Who does he think will provide care for people? I am genuinely interested to know the workforce plan if we don't train enough?.
Streeting says he is prepared to go further on creating extra training places for doctors. there is a chink of light there and a route to a possible deal if the BMA can get out of its own way maybe. Read Streeting's letter to BMA:

This is a fantastic thread of why small can be beautiful. We should be replicating what Dr Amin is doing, not coming after small surgeries which is what I fear the 10 year plan is aiming for.
@DrLKVaughan @ShiYunZhao @MazzucatoM Yes. Based on my observation, ideal GP Practice size should be 5-6K. This maintains continuity & delivers resilience. My practice size is 4.2k . The plan was developed in full consultation with our PPG. Here are the key elements.
