This is due to inadequate safeguards against patients submitting urgent requests through the online tools. Additionally, this change is causing more burnout for staff caused by a surge in demand. Government must listen to GPs and keep patients safe. @wesstreeting #RebuildGP

A new survey from @pulsetoday and @GPpracticeMGMT shows that 67% of GPs believe patients are in more danger since 1st October. This is as a result of result of contractual changes that require practices to ensure online requests can be submitted between 8am to 6.30pm #RebuildGP

Imposing this 90% target risks turning general practice into an urgent care service, limiting the ability to provide safe and continuous care. Family doctors should be focused on preventing sickness rather than providing emergency care. #RebuildGP
