We welcome the commitment to shift NHS funding into communities. But, if Government truly wants to create a neighbourhood health service, it must invest in general practice. The plan in its current form will not deliver the change patients need and deserve. #RebuildGP. 🧵6/6.

The review of the Carr-Hill formula is welcome - but it’s been reviewed multiple times before with no meaningful change. GPs in deprived areas are already overwhelmed. This review must deliver tangible results - fast. 🧵 5/6.

The plan risks side-lining GPs. With vague promises of “integration” and broader NHS structural changes, there’s little assurance that general practice and GPs will be protected. ⚠️ Practices continue to be at risk without the resources or recognition they deserve. 🧵4/6.

💷 But here’s the problem: there’s no new core funding for general practice. 📈 No real plan to fix the workforce crisis. 📉 No serious offer to reduce workload. Ambitions are growing - but the support GPs need to deliver them is missing. 🧵3/6.
