Super important issue in the mouse research community to address. Carefully consider and reject all alternative hypotheses, and don’t just assume!.
Passenger mutations in KO mice can influence gene expression & impact experimental results.3 studies this month highlight this issue.- Nlrp3 (inflammasome). - Ackr1 & Ackr2 (chemokine).Check your KO mice.

Fascinating study on the potentially beneficial role of IL-4 signalling on CAR-T products to persist post-transfusion. Wouldn’t have thought type-2 immunity helps with anti-tumour response, but human immunology is so different and full of surprises 😌.

Congratulations on adding yet another piece of the puzzle on how dermal type-2 immunity is initiated! The skin is truly a unique barrier site full of goddamn (GD) surprises.
In our new paper out today we started with a simple hypothesis - inspired by work on IL-4/IL-13 from @itchdoctor - that an innate immune cell might control sensory neuronal detection of allergens via a secreted factor. (1/11)

One of my pet peeves 🙂↕️ T-2 immunity can be anti-T1/anti-T17 in some contexts but my nasal mucosa during spring time is far from being “anti-inflamed”.
I'm reading SUCH a cool paper, but I just can't!!! NOOOOOOOO Th2 is NOT anti-inflammatory! Th2 is NOT anti-inflammatory! Please help me shout this from the rooftops. Th2/allergic-type responses are highly "inflammatory", just with different disease manifestations than Th1.
