Today marks 12 months sober for me. 1 full year alcohol free! 365 days since I threw the towel in. I didn't believe I was an alcoholic a year ago because I didn't drink every day, I didn't drink in the morning nor did I sit on park benches with a bottle in a paper bag

@BoxingKingdom14
Aye cheers mate, send me the cash and I’ll pay for the PPV. Otherwise seeing as there’s a cost of living crisis affecting me a lot more than it affects them, I think I’ll crack on 👍🏼
You know what was a difficult day
@BorisJohnson
? My grandads funeral. You know what you banned us from being able to do after it? Have a few drinks. You should be sacked! You should be fucking jailed you pompous stuck up prick. Oh and your dads a wife beating twat
Boris Johnson says it was 'Just drinks after a difficult day'
Meanwhile NHS staff had to work with inadequate PPE, staff shortages and a seriously underfunded NHS
This Government wouldn't know a DIFFICULT DAY if it slapped them in the face 🤬

I’m struggling tonight. But my thoughts aren’t to kill myself this time, they are to call the Samaritans or the crisis line, that’s progress. For anyone that needs it, the Samaritans number is: 116 123.
They are very good, trust me.
To a lot of people a year off alcohol may not seem all that impressive, but for context I'm 31, my previous best since I started drinking at 15 was 8 days. But stopping drinking isn't the only thing I'm grateful for. I'm eternally grateful for the changes I've gone through
This year. I've struggled with depression and anxiety since I was a teenager - I haven't needed any medication for this for the last 9 months. I couldn't be alone for even a few hours without spiraling - today I love my own space and just chilling at home. Ive learnt to forgive -
Thankfully I went to an AA meeting just to keep some people quiet, at that meeting I discovered I was in fact an alcoholic. I learnt that an alcoholic was someone that once they had one drink they couldn't stop, nor could they stay stopped through their own will alone.
Even the person that did unspeakable things to me as a child has been forgiven. Today I try everyday to be a good person, I'm not perfect and I fail often, but when I fail I actively try to make it right as quickly as possible. Sobriety has brought me the one thing money and
@chloehenryxxo
She got 8 years. Let’s say a rapist gets 4 years (yes it should be more) she’s accused more than two people of it… so she should indeed be punished for each and every life she has ruined

@DrLoupis
The irony of them listening to a song where the lines are “I'm beautiful in my way 'cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby, I was born this way” then having surgery to change what god made. Mental.
Hi
@SkySportsRL
any chance you can get the commentary team to talk even more about Jake Connor next week. Particularly when he’s not actually on the field. Really added to the game hearing about what he may or may not do if he comes on. Cheers
Have to say
@Iansmith2468
might be the best Rugby League account on Twitter. Always willing to engage with fans and use his expertise to justify decisions but never does so with a sense of superiority. Cheers Ian 👍🏼
@jamiefoster22
Literally not allowed to work while you’re asylum is being processed. You’d think as someone that owns a business you’d have half a clue what documentation people need to be employed lad come on 😂😂
@That_Ged
Not from Liverpool personally but worked there for a good 7 years and love a scouser. Think saying alright to a lad in a pair of 110s in the middle of the afternoon in a little town about 15 miles from Boston and hearing “how are we lad” is one of the most mind blowing
@simonharris_mbd
I like being told my ADHD can’t be that bad. Ah sorry, I’ll stop constantly using coping mechanisms and then you can tell me how bad it really is.

@UberFacts
It’s because a lot of American tourists come across as loud and obnoxious. It’s not a good trait, tone it down outside the states
@peripheralvisxn
Police should move them all on, ideally about 4 hours before doors just for a laugh. "sorry guys we've got an event later and due to the rules around safety no. Loitering before hand, you'll have to piss off"

No mate. It’s about reducing car use by making it so everything is available nearby and you just think “ah fuck it, I’ll just walk it’s only there”
Absolute fucking scenes. Can’t wait for
@LeighLeopardsRL
to be 40-0 up at half time at old Trafford against Warrington and
@derek_beaumont
to stand on the halfway shouting “are you not entertained?!”
Love saints me but fuck the 5, I wanna see it
@carbdiem
Disagree, early in recovery you shouldn't be carrying on the behavior of going out for a drink. None alcoholic versions of alcoholic drinks do nothing to help you realise you need to change what you do. It's a very short jump back to alcoholic drinks.
Say what you want about this fella, at least he’s trying! You might question some of his decisions but you can’t question his passion and effort! Everyone’s been saying for years we need to make Rugby League an event, more than just the match and that’s what he’s doing this year
I've lived alone for two years, got sober in January. On Saturday I went shopping and for the first time ever I have a full freezer. Of everything I've achieved this year, this one made me more emotional than any other. Merry Christmas
So what I’ve learned today on Twitter is that Salford fans wouldn’t leave their jobs for pay rises because they would be loyal to their employers as that’s very important

800mg of test, 750 cal deficit, train 5-6 days a week hard as you can and your probably nearly there. Should drop about 7-8lb week one including the water. 3.5lb for the next two. Bosh.
2 years ago I moved into my house. Today, it finally looks like a home and I’m so happy! I stopped drinking 9 months ago and my house looked like an alchys depression pit, since then I just couldn’t face sorting it and it made me so upset being in it. That’s not my normal now 🙌🏼
Teams that haven’t managed to get promoted to Superleague once since it’s inception shouldn’t have an issue with scrapping promotion. It didn’t affect them anyway
Been a while since I stopped and actually looked at how far I’ve come since I first went back into a gym in October 2021. As of this morning I am 83 lbs lighter 💪🏼
@JoeBangles11
I am also politically homeless mainly due to the fact I’ve realised there’s nothing more intolerant then the so called tolerant left. It’s either agree with them entirely or be abused by them.

Personally I think that was Liverpool when they were paying all their players more than anybody else was in their period of dominance. Or is that different?
So much going on in the picture on these bifters. The fella looks like that tik tok Nonce that’s always crying and the nurse is staring at him like she thinks he’s faking it.
@PookieChops
@fesshole
The word “convinced” probably means he didn’t want to and did it to try and make her happy. She’s a scumbag and I hope her womb falls out

Weird thing is, Senna and Michael were similar and they were loved. People need to start respecting racing again. He is the best driver on the grid and it’s not close

Obviously you finance a depreciating asset worth over a quarter of a million. That doesn’t mean it’s £199 a month though does it!
@ShakinthatChalk
No, why should having children give you the privilege of more time than people that haven’t got them? You made a decision to have children, as I did. That means my life is generally busier, we have to deal with that.
