I don't ever want anyone to have to watch their beloved pet needlessly suffer like this. If you can afford it, do visit I'm still not sure if the treatment would lead to a full remission, but if all else has failed, I think it's worth a try, at least.

So even though my cat responded well to the treatment, I couldn't continue with it, due to its high cost (~600 euros for a round of treatment of about 90 days). After this round, my cat got sicker again. I'm incredibly sad to say that he eventually passed away 3 weeks ago 💔.

They also did not want to look at the research on post-viral illness in cats. I got desperate. Last year, I decided to try the FIP anti-viral treatment that showed great results in cats, as there were multiple published papers on it at that point. My cat perked up within 2 weeks.

For years, I've been trying to get vets to take my cat's post-viral illness seriously, which started around the time of my own first COVID infection. Aside from extra fluids and antibiotics, they wouldn't do anything for him.

One additional point on the diary: The layout of the symptom tracking and health metrics pages are identical across the different languages of the diary. Because of this, if used in research studies, it's possible to include patients that speak different languages!.
