You set boundaries 4 yourself, not 4 others. If you say "if you do this it makes me not want to be around you", then you control *your behavior* by not sticking nearby when they're doing that shit. That's a 'boundary". Abusers try to control others' behaviors, not their own.

It's not meant to control other people's behavior. That's known as 'controlling other people's behaviour'. A boundary gives people information about you which they can choose to use in determining their own behavior. A boundary isn't something to manipulate people with.

They should have charged him. Crimes of domestic violence don't require the victim to cooperate. If she was still locked in the bathroom when the police arrived they were witnesses to the crime. They didn't need her testimony.

Yes. I get your point but in more seriousnrss, there has been NO indication anywhere that she wants an open marriage. Suggesting it, is to make his lack of faithfulness fit in to an acceptable scenario. That's not what needs to be suggested unless the wife suggests it.
