I'm gonna elaborate on why I hate this. When people look at a show like eva, popular critically acclaimed. They latch onto the characters, mechs, iconography and all the "stuff" that's recognisably eva and think "that's what makes eva good." But that's completely wrong.

Finished watching after the rain. Loved it, it leads you on with a questionable age-gap romance only to turn it into a heartwarming story about passion, growing up and holding onto your youth. Our leads are the wrong ages for each other but they still inspire the eachother.

There’s such a widespread trend of people not liking stories where the characters sometimes act bitchy or act selfishly or says or does something stupid that the character should (and does) know is wrong. I love this kind of story because that’s fucking real.

Minor rant but I hate that so many people want every little detail to be spelled out. I see it many times that an adaptation full of subtext in how the characters move and act is decried as “cutting content” when they don’t have internal monologues that spell out everything.

My stance on this never ending discourse is simple. If part of the artistic vision of the creator is that it should not have an easy mode because that negatively impacts their vision then it shouldn’t have easy mode.
Let video games be art.
Every single video game should have a super easy mode for babies. Some people just are not good at games but want to experience the artistic design like music and visuals. You lose nothing by letting people enjoy your game on easy mode.
