What I can’t fathom about the “hamas is using human shields”rhetoric is that the whole point of human shields that they stop people from attacking you. You’re supposed to cry “that’s not fair they’re using shields” while NOT attacking because you value this innocent lives.

When Israel says “they’re using human shields” they’re not saying it cause they value those innocent lives. They’re saying it because it makes them look bad when they indiscriminately bomb regardless. Human shields don’t work when Israel doesn’t see them as human.

Well thing is it mostly worked for decades but at some point it's easier to treat them all as the enemy not only the army, it's horrible but it's the nature of war(Oppenheimer was exactly about this btw)
