Some of the comments about Kate Garraway show that for whatever reason, we've more than our fair share of heartless people in society. Maybe the pandemic did it, i don't know, but to write such vile stuff about someone you don't know who's clearly gone through hell is appalling.

Lord Marland says Boris Johnson was offended by the fact the Privileges Committee didn't believe him - that's because he's a liar who seems to have seldom, if ever, been called out before for what he is. First sign of getting found out, the fat blob's off, like shit off a shovel.

@ByDonkeys And what about the irony that the Tory party election campaign slogan morphs into about Brexit?

@JolyonRubs Can you do me a favour? Retweet this clip of James Cleverly assuring the House yesterday that we won't be leaving the ECHR? I'd quite like to keep my human rights, as I'm sure most other sane people would. Thanks in anticipation.

@mishtal Plenty of British Jews were on the march on Saturday. Unlike you, they have some compassion for their fellow human beings....innocent children and all. And, unlike you, they would be outraged whoever the perpetrators and victims of the mass slaughter going on in Gaza were.

A Brucey bonus anagram about Boris Johnson's decision not to do the Andrew Neil show. He loves the accolades and the attention when he's ding a party rally, but, as an anagram of #ConservativeManifesto shows....

@Peston Can't believe some replies to this tweet are making Grieve out to be the villain here. Maybe they think Russian interference in UK affairs is OK.

@PeterStefanovi2 James Cleverly assured the house, during a statement about the Rwanda deal, only two days ago, that they have no intention of leaving the ECHR. Here's the clip.

@KwasiKwarteng having just seen you on @Peston you need to watch this and hang your head in shame too. Doesn't matter how much good the PM has done, he broke the rules that he made and preached to the public.

@JohnnyAlucard7 @metpoliceuk It's not antisemitic to be against the slaughter of 1000s of innocent children by Israel.

@JujuliaGrace It's bizarre, isn't it. The definition of "woke" is "alert to injustice in society, especially racism." Now if that's a bad thing, then I'm a very bad person. but, it seems everything has to have a name or phrase these days, even if it is inappropriate.

@OmarSalem @WhippsCrossHosp I applaud you for confronting him but fear, given your Twitter profile, that you can expect incoming from the mainstream media tomorrow, some of it not very pleasant. You'll likely be written off as a loony leftie or whingeing Labour supporter.

@uk_domain_names One schools plans are enough for me to not want my child to go back June 1. Allocated toilet times, sort themselves out if they have an accident, no hot meals for R & Y1, clean clothes every day, teachers to clean all kids belongings. sounds like a punishment camp, not school

I can't watch these Tory MPs defending Boris Johnson on the news channels. What a bunch of fawning idiots. Angela Rayner was right, many of them really are scum.

The #StateofSocialCare is so bad because despite care homes charging a fortune, they pay care workers as little as £7.50 an hour

“Dad sacrificed his life to follow the rules... Conservative MPs should be ashamed to count the PM as a colleague, let alone support him.” Hannah Brady and other bereaved families have been outside Downing St and Tory HQ today, explaining why the party scandal matters (thread)
