Hysteroscopy as 1st line diagnosis was included in NICE HMB guidelines by gynaes who wanted to self- refer. There was no clinical or economic assessment by NICE, no evidence that ibuprofen/paracetamol sufficient @NICEComms messed up - ultrasound & MRI should be 1st line diagnosis

So, if it's '"Hard to predict who will find it painful" why not adopt the Precautionary Principle and expect that all women will find it painful? Oh yes, we're women and anaesthetists cost money. @wesstreeting

A mayor is at least elected. Integrated Care Boards are not elected have no patient representation and we can't get rid of them if we think they are doing a bad job, just like CCGs before them

Most people couldn’t name their ICB chair if you paid them. It's likely they can name their mayor. If services fail, voters know where to point the finger.

Back to the same old playbook: demonise doctors, ignore the real issues. 'Maximum harm' rhetoric is a familiar tactic to shift blame from systemic NHS failures onto staff fighting for fair pay and safe care. Back the doctors if you care about the NHS. https://t.co/SlOWbi4aF7

PM & Health Secretary have completely failed to negotiate with Resident doctors to avert strikes They’ve failed 100,000s of patients who’ve had their operations delayed. It’s time to call in ACAS to negotiate an end to the Resident doctors’ dispute

Resident doctors have been left with no choice but to strike. Weeks of negotiations with the Government have failed to deliver enough progress on pay, with the goalposts being moved at the last minute. We have called six days of industrial action to make the Government listen,

TLDR: vote for me for BMA council. After years of decline for doctors, BMA is finally turning the tide on FPR, dr substitution and UKgradPrio (my main priorities). We can’t achieve them without a lean and effective BMA. Vote to demand efficiency and accountability.

I am standing for the BMA council election with other fantastic reps with a proven track record. We need BMA council to continue backing full pay restoration, effective UK graduate prioritisation and ending scope creep. If you are a BMA doctor, please support the team.
