’s Innovative Medicines Fund and means around 4,000 people with sickle cell disease in England are set to benefit from the treatment straight away⬇️
This is one of the biggest breakthroughs in treatment for sickle cell in recent decades.
This roll out is part of our wider drive to improve the quality and experience of care for sickle cell patients and tackle the stigma and challenges they have told me they face.
