Today is #AskHerToStand day. Earlier this week, I had the pleasure of speaking at an event by @5050Parliament. This fantastic organisation helped me in my journey, so it was a real joy to join them in asking more women to stand for public office.

@LushLtd The @LibDems have a track record of animal rights advocacy, including calling for higher animal welfare standards and stronger animal cruelty penalties, and we are determined to ensure that the humane treatment of animals is upheld.

I was happy to attend @LushLtd's Parliamentary reception to discuss the need to replace outdated animal testing with better, human-relevant, non-animal science. #CrueltyFreeScience #FightingAnimalTesting

Neither the Conservatives nor Labour seem to understand the reality for most farmers - the Government must axe the tax now. #FamilyFarmTax #FarmersProtest2024.3/3.

Later on I heard from farming charity RABI about the support they are offering to farmers for their physical and mental health. @LibDems stand in solidarity with our farmers who have been through enough in the past few years, without adding insult to injury. 2/3.

Today I listened to farmers from North East Hampshire and joined fellow Lib Dems urging the government to scrap the Family Farm Tax. They highlighted the devastating impact this tax will have on them and future generations as well as the risks for our food security. 1/3

This week, I attended @hartvoluntaryaction's trustee event, highlighting many different trustee opportunities across North Hampshire. It was lovely to meet new community leaders from across the charity sector and see former colleagues too. #volunteering #givingback #charity

2024's theme is positive male role models. Through my experience working with victims of domestic abuse, I've seen first hand the impact that positive male role models can have on children and their development - especially with the pressure that young people are under today.

This morning, I had the pleasure of speaking on the radio, with James Cannon from @BBCSurrey, talking about my experiences in Parliament, as well as my thoughts on local issues.

North East Hampshire is home to 2 chalk stream rivers, of only 200 in the world. It is therefore absolutely vital that we do our best to protect them. Last year, 14,000 hours worth of sewage dumping took place into chalk stream rivers - this must not continue.

Today, I questioned the Prime Minister on the protection of important chalk stream rivers. While I am pleased that there will be tougher powers more generally, I would like to see a special protection for these unique ecosystems. #chalkstream #sewage #PMQs #environment

Last week was busy and poignant, with a lot of serious topics discussed and tributes paid to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. It was a pleasure to see so many members of our community at these events.

On Remembrance Sunday, we honour the sacrifice of all those who gave their lives in defence of our country and our freedoms. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten. We are forever in their debt. We will remember them.

@AdvanceCharity Having previously worked in this sector, I appreciated the opportunity to learn more about what we can do to support women in the criminal justice system, especially given the ongoing prison crisis.

This week I met with @AdvanceCharity, a women's organisation focused on delivering systems change and support for women and girls affected by domestic abuse.
