No one system is perfect, but NFTs are just visible code on a public ledger. It can be part of a scam and we should be educating, but whole sale blaming the NFT is like blaming the pen and the paper for someone not fulfilling their IOU 9/x

Back in 2017, some friends started a company called KorroBox to explore how to make it easier for devs to distribute their PC games without having to pay steam 30%. While analyzing the market, I gained mad respect for itch. Lots of overlap in ethos. 1/x

A person defecates~ 500g/day converted into 50 liters of methane gas which generates 0.5 kWh.

When people ask me a reason to build on blockchain, it's that you can build with your community 🙏
We did not ship the
@Hivemapper
App with the ability to view the real-time imagery from the dashcam, as we just had so many other higher priority things to build and fix.
The community stepped in, and built one for the iPhone and one for the Android 🙏💪

Not the official stance, but I think L2s on Solana will probably look much more like specialized services on top of EC2 (sagemaker, SQL, Lumberyard) and not a system to make up for a sluggish L1

1.9 allows for SSDs, not all RAM. As demand goes up, not hard to upgrade CPU and incentive is there. Solana scales today in a very practical and not theoretical way
We’re also working on cryptographic primitives to continue to reduce costs.

The current gamefi models largely promise yield on assets that only exist in their game. You're right that game lifecycles are limited in that case because you're either capping progression or reducing onboarding incentive.

The difference is the economics for supply/demand. There’s a reason most economies try to have moderate inflation, it encourages flows of capital
