Cryptoeconomic systems explorer and advocate for trust-minimized, permissionless software that enhances global coordination. ETH since 2017 and SOL since 2020.
Blockchains allow humans/AI to coordinate in ways that were previously difficult, if not impossible. This is an origin of life event in the digital medium. Evolution has just begun, and our shared brain (blockchains) will exponentially increase our capabilities as a civilization.
I’m old for the NFT space (37). I don’t want to buy a 40 ETH pfp so I can go clubbing with 20 year olds who spent their parents’ dime on a dumb looking jpeg. I don’t want to buy because the founder is talented or “breaking boundaries”. I will never buy BAYC, Azuki, DeGods, or
I removed .eth from my handle. I haven't used ETH for anything in months. It's too expensive. When ETH or solid native L2's are cheap, fast, and easy AF to use, I will again be keen to use and accept ETH. Until then, I'll be enjoying primarily SOL. I'll miss you ETH people.
Seen some ETH maxis go from “SOL is a scam” to “”SOL is centralized” to SOL is kind of decentralized but still shuts down all the time” to “SOL might be useful but has no devs users” to “SOL might be useful and have devs and users but it’s tokenomics are whack”.
1) Thinking that Ethereum is amazing and Solana is worthless and has zero unique value propositions, skilled devs, or users is bag bias and/or laziness. You are either brainwashed by ETH maxis or willfully ignorant at this point.
number go down there’s nothing left. Nobody wants to pay 50k, or even 200 usd, to gain access to a cool game. The new Zelda and Diablo games are about 70 usd, and some of the best games ever made. I really believe.. or at least wish that NFT communities would form around common
goals other than number go up. I don’t know whether that will ever happen or not, but I hope so. For the past year, I’ve focused primarily on collecting really cheap art that I really like (e.g

If

market cap then I may simply quit trading Solana NFTs entirely, as it would be a very clear signal that I have absolutely zero clue what the hell is going on. Congrats to the StonedApes for this crazy run while the prices of most OGs fell.
values really are. The second is figuring out how the fuck to live your life by those values. In any case, I wish y’all the best of luck. We all have the power to change, though it can be hard. And even if we don’t succeed, it’ll be a wild ride. So hold on to your butts friends.
anything similar. BAYC was cool cuz it was a cheap mint when mints were expensive. DeGods were cool at 6 SOL, when I, and many of the “SOL NFT establishment” (lol) said it would never become a “blue chip” NFT project. It’s strange how when counterculture becomes mainstream
culture, or worse yet, bourgeoisie, everyone who isn’t already on the train turns against it.
@Zeneca
is right. NFT “communities” change. And if the main selling point for an NFT is the community, which is almost always nearly entirely predicated on number go up, then as soon as

@jeffscottward
When I ran his statement through my proprietary ETH maxi translation algorithm, it appears as though he was trying to say: "I like belittling others in an effort to pump my own bags because I falsely believe it's a zero sum game for some reason."
Took ETH 6 years to launch EIP1559 (good tokenomics for now). SOL has been live for 3. You might consider chilling out and focusing on the ecosystem that your values align with. Look outward every now and again to see how other ecos have changed and if you may now align with them
of projects). And, to be honest, this feels like my niche and makes me feel like maybe I’ll be interested in crypto art long-term and remain an avid collector. I’m mostly throwing this out there in case any of you have never seriously considered this route. Maybe you’d be happier
Truth: Many crypto "veterans" are rich, but most, like me, are not. Been here since 2017 and have less than 100k. Once held 10k QNT, 1k Aave, 1k SOL, 1 BTC, and 32 ETH and sold cuz I thought a pandemic would hurt prices... Never held with conviction and made some bad trades.
What up
@SolanaMBS
and
@MonkeDAO
!? After a sad week of not having a monke, I decided to rejoin the gang the moment I saw this one liset on SMB Marketplace. Cheers
This is the most biased coverage of the launch of Solana Mobile Stack (SMS) and the Saga phone I have ever heard. I am extremely disappointed in my friends at
@BanklessHQ
for spreading such an insanely biased take. They’ve clearly done nearly zero research into the stack.
I was honestly so close to changing my life by actually accruing savings.. and I lost it all again... Been grinding hard from 2017 til now and have nothing to show for it. I'm gonna peace out for a while. The toll on my mental health cannot be overstated. See you in four hours.
@T_BALLER6
None, but I’m gonna say something controversial. The airdrop size should not have been dependent upon the amount of value transacted… Cool, let’s give the millionaires another million. And normal people using OS another four dollars.
pursuing something a bit different in the NFT space.. or maybe there’s nothing here for you and you’d be happier doing something else. Sometimes we get in a rut and have a hard time changing course in life. I know I do. But you can do it. The first step is figuring out what your
2) I’ve had many convos with ETH maxis about this and have never swayed on this opinion. I have near zero financial exposure to the SOL ecosystem right now, and I’m telling you that you should read more and experiment with SOL.

I don’t own one (was in the middle of nowhere for work during mint ffs), but I think the
@MadLadsNFT
market cap is going to surpass the market cap of every other NFT collection on Solana by >2X in the next year. It’s a cultural phenomenon with no baggage. Disagreements welcome.
My homie
@austinvirts
brought up a really good point today. Can the crypto/NFT community please stop making fun of the idea of working at McDonalds? Tbh, it comes off as though y'all think you're better than someone working in the fast food industry, and the truth is, you're not.
@PelotonHolder
@robustus
Um.. It wasn’t a bear market in 2013 man... It was a Wyckoff accumulation pattern, leading to new all-time highs. We will enter a bear market if BTC closes a weekly below 30k. BTC ran up from 4K to 65k in 24 months... pretty sure it was due to shake newbs out, lol.
@RyanSAdams
ETH doesn’t need to win for crypto to have a decentralized and scalable future. My problem with you and David’s takes at this point is that you are hyper focused on ETH “winning”… So much so that if something much more decentralized came about, I don’t trust that you’d pivot.
P.S. This is not a bash on BAYC, Azuki, or DeGods projects or holders at all. Just sharing my thoughts and experiences, and I’m certain that folks have an incredibly wide variety of reasons for buying, holding, enjoying, or selling crypto art. Everyone has to find their own path.
Honoring the
@SOLgods_
community today for producing some of the coolest PFP art in the space. I'm a proud owner of a SOLgod and absolutely stoked to be a part of this community.
People should not be rocking PFPs that they have listed on a marketplace..... I see it all of the time. How is this better than copy and pasting? That's the tweet.
One of the things that I love about
@thugbirdz
/
@thugDAO
is how equal everyone is treated. It probably helps that some traits aren’t even visible without metadata. One might like thugz based on rank, favorite rapper, plumage color, or bling. Every thug is crucial to the flock.
@jeffscottward
One.. an exploit in the smart contract code for the Wormhole bridge has zero to do with anything being wrong about Solana or even the security guarantees of the bridge itself. All smart contracts are exploitable unless the code is perfect. Two, all ETH is being reimbursed. Cheers
@JamesSpediacci
SOL is faster than anything else, has >1500 validators, and is composable, AVAX consensus mechanism and subnets will be fun to watch, and ADA, though I’m not a fan, is one of the most decentralized chains by any metric. None are as bad as you’re making them out to be ETH maxi.
Decided to give
@SolariansNFT
a shot and scooped up my favorite floor model. Look at that Solana theme! Time to see what this team and community can do. Cheers
@Robo_DAO
Drip is the most fun I’ve had in NFTs, and it’s free to participate. Takes a minute to download a SOL wallet and subscribe to a few artists. Other than that, there’s no reason not to get involved... even if you’re an ETH or BTC maxi. Previous drops below:
Back in the day (in crypto time) I held this
@thugbirdz
. Then one day I traded it away in a panic. Always regretted that. I saw it listed on MagicEden this morning and had to reclaim it. Now. Say my name. "Heisenbird". You're god damn right.
Eyeing
@v1punks

@larvalabs
? A Larva team member sold 40 v1s for 260 ETH and then the team said they're worthless and coerced OS to delist them. It's Larva's fault they even exist, lol. Fuck the system.
I still think
@TheFracture_
is one of the coolest looking sets of profile pictures I've ever seen on any chain. Don't care about price. No ladies, which is unfortunate if you'd prefer a lady, but the gents that do exist are cool af. Great traits to choose from as well.
@rajgokal
Great point. At this stage, ETH people yelling at SOL people about centralization, liveness, etc. while SOL people yell at ETH people about L1 scalability, L2 centralization, etc. will likely continue to pressure both ecosystems into working harder and become stronger.
@suganarium
Alternative perspective: It’s a free airdrop and a test for JUP to iron out kinks. This has been explained 40 times. I mostly care that the team gets the JUP drop right.
Are there still a lot of monkes pushing to make
@MonkeDAO
the center of innovation and community within the SOL ecosystem? Seriously.. I'm assuming the answer is yes, but I want to hear from monkes. If so, prices are becoming increasingly attractive to search for a forever monke.
I think SOL could easily be used for a DEPIN or consumer-facing app that ends up with more users than all other chains combined. Some of the recent developments optimize for UX/UI in new and unique ways and devs are quickly taking advantage. I'm excited to watch it play out.
@LucaNetz
I don't buy anything that relies on one person delivering on their promises. Sounds like a cult, founders are not legally liable to deliver anything at all, and we've seen >99% of those style of projects fail in just two years timeframe. Just personal preference though.

0.6 USD. Had been waiting to buy it on the open market after watching Anatoly interview with Blockchain Brad on YouTube. Waited til I thought SOL was in an accumulation phase. By far the closest I’ve ever been to buying the all-time low on anything.
@beaniemaxi
He's the CEO of Solana Labs... not Solana. Such a title doesn't exist. One could similarly call Vitalik. Just curious.. do you really believe that there's not a role for Solana to play at this point? There's room for both.
SagaDAO is comprised of Saga phone holders and is quickly becoming a powerful force within the ecosystem.

@RyanSAdams
Respectfully, Solana Labs is launching a phone. Solana the protocol is simply open-source software. There is a difference between Solana Labs the company and Solana the blockchain. SMS and the 0 fee marketplace can be integrated/supported by literally any other phone company.
@RyanSAdams
Unfortunately, the prices of assets simply fluctuate too much to tax unrealized capital gains imo. You could literally send a billionaire to zero over the course of a few years if macro played out in a certain way.
Does anyone actually want to use a layer-2? Would be shocked if >90% of EVM users didn’t return to ETH L1 if it scaled enough to host their apps of choice.
@iamDCinvestor
It’s the strongest non-EVM chain and has the best shot of any chain at being capable of hosting a significant portion of global commerce, processing tx at the speed of light, and maintaining composability. New use cases & there’s never one solitary winner at anything important.
@grimace85
12,500 is more than half of a Bitcoin and literally enough to build a home in some places on earth. That is a lot of USDs. Anyone who doesn’t think so is ignorant and I hope they gain some perspective someday.
First on-chain vote for

@thugDAO
this weekend after squads is set up. This is the first on-chain vote for a Solana NFT-related DAO that I'm aware of. Great efforts by the community leaders and I hope to see more of this in other DAOs soon!
@SuperShyGuy0
@beaniemaxi
Lol. Ya, most people in crypto are indeed just speculating on price. I like Solana because I actually use it almost every day, enjoy doing so, and think it is on a path to become sufficiently censorship-resistant to effectively run the vast majority of foreseeable dapps.
@balajis
It looks too you’re drinking the kool-aid my friend. You describe a minority of republicans. Most are in the pockets of corporations and vote accordingly. Many project strength to mask insecurities. Also, gender is a social construct and has zero connection with biological sex.
@RequiemSolana
@defi_ayda
@FamousFoxFed
FFF is a beacon of light amongst the darkness. Great project that makes stuff people actually use and doesn’t try to token gate it for holders. Unselfish devs that create community goods. Love it
Just FYI, I'm going to start de-friending people who frequently engage is blatantly obvious and annoying engagement farming. I'm more interested in people who actually talk about interesting stuff. More power to you if you're an engagement farmer, but it's just not for me. Cheers
@TheCryptoLark
Not really sure what "deserve" means when the market decides and always has. In terms of active development and usage, there are arguments to be made for SOL to eclipse BNB in the not-too-distant future. People forget that SOL has the 2nd greatest NFT tx vol of any chain.
Interestingly,
@thugbirdz
might be in a more comfortable position right now (out of OG PFPs), as holding the most highly valued PFP on SOL has never been part of the allure of holding a thug. I know many monkes will continue to support the DAO, but certainly not all.
Remember when a hoard of people stormed on to Solana to acquire Okay Bears at outrageous valuations because they believed that Okay Bears was the BAYC of Solana..?
@pseudotheos
At this point, Ethereum should just start posting the fraction of an average global citizen’s annual salary required to pay for a simple transfer.
@crypto_bobby
Must be nice to be rich AF... No, most people don’t have six to eight figures lying around from their crypto gains.. even those who have been investing since 2017. A lot of us normies started with less than four figures man.
@ksicrypto
When you say over, you mean a totally logical retrace to 50k and then continuation of the uptrend for the next 4 months plus? Ya, maybe it’s over.

@a16z
Helium just launched 5G, which has a shitload of demand, making this entire analysis completely bogus… Not to mention the fact that LoRaWAN was and still is a gamble that internet of things will be a “thing” and such a network could become a dominant player.

Or… you could spend your money on things that have a positive impact on your life and others. Food for thought: When someone asked you what you wanted to be when you grew up, did you respond, “an accumulator of increasingly frivolous status symbols”?
@InspectorOnSol
@CryptoAnglio
@BitBrawlio
This is absolutely unacceptable if true and if he didn't disclose. I also feel the need to state that this behavior is in no way condoned by other members of monkeDAO.
And simply chose to berate Solana Labs the entire time for choosing to develop a phone, while never mentioning the stack itself or the zero fee marketplace. Please DYOR folks…
@knox_trades
Never get attached to any NFTs.. ever… Always buy two. Sell one after a crazy pump and simply hold the other one. Hold that one until the macro conditions turn bearish and then sell it. Rinse and repeat.
@JamesSpediacci
Ethereum is just 2017 Ethereum, except it’s unusable now because it is a broken chain (according to Vitalik) rather than because there are simply no applications available for one to use.
@ElectricCapital
report comes out and says Solana has over 2k active developers and the fastest growing developer mindshare of any chain. ETH maxis have been telling me in all seriousness that they heard Solana only has 75 devs left.
@0xRuski
@jeffscottward
No. It doesn't... It's simply a smart contract exploit.. nothing else... You can go ahead and ignore these mindless confirmation bias seeking ETH maxi zombies that seem to enjoy nothing more than shitting on earnest efforts to achieve the same goals through different means.
@SuperShyGuy0
@beaniemaxi
Blockchains are much more than protocols mate, lol... As a frequent user of both ETH (since early 2017) and SOL (early 2020) dapps, NFTs, etc., I can assure you that the SOL ecosystem has now reached exit velocity and will continue to grow for the long-term sans black swan event.
Why are Ordinals and Stamps marketplaces springing up left and right, while Counterparty assets are being ignored? Y’all know there’s a market for Spells of Genesis and Rare Pepes at the very least, right?
Please stop following me if you're here for these fucking pump and dumps. I'm not an influencer. I'm here to learn, build, educate, participate in DAOs that stand for something, and collect the digital art that I love and/or will help define art and culture for years to come.
