There are many vacant properties on Kennedy St NW. Some owned by Charles Paret & Coloma River company. Some are more than vacant, they are blighted, but are not being charged the required tax rate. These blighted buildings negatively impact the community.

I, uh... I don't think this is what the community meant about wanting to find ways to help end gun violence in Petworth.
Today I introduced a bill to require the Mayor to issue a motor vehicle ID tag with the legend "End Gun Violence." The license plate serves to raise awareness about gun violence, encourage action against it and fund services to support victims of crime.

Cesse Ip passed away on August 24th. She was a devoted mom and wife, an advocate for her community and her children's school, and she unfairly was not given enough time. She will most definitely be missed.

Petworth Ace has reopened today after being closed due to an overnight burglary. They’re a great business in the neighborhood and contribute to community events. Hope they catch the thieves and glad everyone is safe.
