Heard 3 gunshots tonight, then saw 2 people leaving the scene. Called 911 and was on hold for almost 8 minutes. 8 minutes. Good thing I wasn’t calling about a heart attack, fire or known injury. Disappointing. Scary. @MayorBowser , you & @OUC_DC must do better.

@petworthdcnews @MayorBowser @OUC_DC Sorry about this. We should talk. 4C and 4B have requested the DC Auditor audit 911 due to us hearing these delays so frequently. We aren't hearing concern from anyone on the DC Council but @ODCA_DC has fortunately agreed.

@petworthdcnews @MayorBowser @OUC_DC This happened in Ward 8 as well as my family waited six and a half minutes to report a car accident in the community.
