@SamanthaPippin7 Tory #MSM cannot handle real free market, social media has no barriers to entry & exit, the very freemarket concept they espouse. Tories & their MSM want controlled media - ones they control directly & indirectly via tax dodging media barons.

Remember leaseholders, @UKLabour will need your votes to win the next election, guaranteed. They have squandered their huge majority & our goodwill by cosying up to the construction industry & failing to end the #BuildingSafetyCrisis. Let's hit them where it hurts, with our votes!
The Renters’ Rights Act, the beginning of the end for the feudal leasehold system, the next generation of new towns, and a bold overhaul of our planning system. We’ve achieved so much over the past 19 months thanks to Keir’s leadership. Our focus must be on finishing the job.

How poorer leaseholders are pushed around. Appalling case brought to light by BBC's @tarahwelsh Well done @NLC_2019 on This Morning @justinmadders @mtpennycook

If anyone knows how to take on the Blob, it’s this man. Whatever your politics, @michaelgove has a reputation for ramming change through the Whitehall machine. Starmer’s @UKLabour are meant to be an “insurgent government of delivery”. So, what does Lord Gove think?
“The ECHR is to protect the vulnerable, ideally, against an abuse of power, but what we’ve got here is the powerful abusing the vulnerable.” @michaelgove makes the pro-leaseholder case for leaving the ECHR. And more! All in our new podcast, Generation Screwed 👇

The way things are heading, it looks like they are intrenching leasehold and private estates more, that's despite stating they will remove the injustice.
@kmfmnews This is leasehold in Britain today @SteveReedMP @mtpennycook. Hope you’ve got the guts to stop this. @FreeLeasehlders @NLC_2019 @HorNet_Group

@HarryScoffin @mtpennycook Explains why MAs never speak out or condemn the 🏴🏴🏠🔥& building safety crisis or fleecehold abuses. Turkeys don’t vote for Xmas! All part of same toxic axis - Developers Fleeceholders & MAs. Huge thanks Harry for your tireless and magnificent efforts. @UKLabour @SteveReedMP

@mtpennycook Far more significant is what your government is doing to make it cheaper and easier to enfranchise so we can oust predatory freeholders and their agents from our service charges and gain proper control of block management. That must include peppercorning of ground rents.

Unfortunately the likes of FirstPort never learn. For 2025 they are increasing their management, accounting and other fees by 6.5%, nearly double the rate of inflation. Their excuse? All the extra work and costs they have. But their quality of service continues to decline.

The FirstPort scam machine increases services charges to recharging their costs of being held to account for their bad behaviour - one of the worst aspects of the freehold-leasehold system in 🏴🏴 - the claimant pays their abusers costs

What are we hearing now, @mtpennycook, through @theipaper? Is @UKLabour wishing to throw leaseholders overboard – again? Will we rot to death in these unsaleable ground rent traps with short leases? #LeaseholdReform
The 2019 Conservative Party Manifesto promised unequivocally to restrict ground rents to a peppercorn. If the Tories are abandoning that manifesto commitment, leaseholders deserve to know why. Michael Gove needs to come to Parliament on Monday to explain himself.

Who is WE exactly? We don't want regulations, we want universal adoption!
As we take forward proposals to strengthen the regulation of managing agents, we expect to see FirstPort and others taking action to improve their standards and quality of service. https://t.co/ZBZiGdPjCS

There should be a @BBCPanorama investigation to bring this to light for the mass public that are even thinking of buying leasehold.
@HelenX678 @julietMCP2 Thank you. I won't bother with the ombudsman, I had a really bad experience with the FOS over my NHBC warranty and would never use an ombudsman again.

@deirdrecostigan @BarrattRedrow I’m sorry but I’m sick and tired of these photo opportunities. Your party are doing F all to help leaseholders. This is not good enough and I look forward to my friends and family never voting Labour again.

@UKLabour are cooked. Wrath of leaseholders incoming. This explains the govt radio silence since winning the court case. What a bunch of spineless cowards.
Disgraceful! @theipaper reports tonight that the Treasury is set to kill off ground rent reform despite @UKLabour winning on a manifesto pledge to END leasehold. And a £250 cap is a retreat from the peppercorn policy @mtpennycook pushed in opposition. Hold him to his words:

@mtpennycook No mention of FirstPort stealing reserve funds or making unlawful demands for payment, adding on collection fees. Two things that have happened to me since they were removed from our block (they still manage our estate). They stole our electricity money and we were nearly cut off

@mtpennycook Please stop the performative clap-trap and actually deliver on ending leasehold, as promised in the @UKLabour manifesto. Remember: managing agents are the monkeys, not the freeholder organ grinders!

@mtpennycook Leaseholders have no interest in a MA regulator, they want to appoint them themselves and fire them when they want like any normal home owner would do - not be held to ransom by non-dom freeholders operating out of cayman island banks.
